The Role

The Forward Deployed Architect (Agentic AI) serves as the technical authority for client engagements involving agentic AI systems. Embedded within client environments, you will own the architecture and delivery of enterprise-scale AI solutions from concept through production deployment.

You will design and govern multi-agent systems operating in highly regulated industries, ensuring reliability, security, auditability, and business value. This includes determining orchestration approaches, tool integrations, human oversight mechanisms, evaluation frameworks, monitoring strategies, and production governance.

You will work across AWS Bedrock, Agent Core, frontier AI models, orchestration frameworks, and evaluation tooling while helping clients navigate the rapidly evolving AI landscape and make informed architectural decisions.

This is a hands-on role requiring architectural leadership, technical design, prototyping, code reviews, and direct engagement with executive stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

Agentic AI Architecture

• Design and own enterprise-scale agentic AI architectures.
  
• Develop multi-agent orchestration patterns, tool integrations, memory management, retrieval systems, evaluation frameworks, guardrails, and observability.
  
• Ensure architectural decisions align with business objectives and governance requirements.
  

Human-in-the-Loop Design

• Design workflows that combine AI autonomy with appropriate human oversight.
  
• Determine review and approval checkpoints.
  
• Ensure agent outputs are transparent and explainable for business users and compliance teams.
  

Frontier AI Technology Leadership

• Advise clients on AWS Bedrock, Agent Core, foundation models, orchestration frameworks, and deployment strategies.
  
• Evaluate technology trade-offs and recommend solutions aligned to enterprise constraints and objectives.
  

Enterprise Integration

• Architect solutions that integrate with legacy systems, APIs, enterprise platforms, security controls, and existing workflows.
  
• Design around real-world constraints including data quality, access limitations, and infrastructure requirements.
  

Reliability & Evaluation

• Define measurable success criteria before development begins.
  
• Build evaluation frameworks using realistic business scenarios.
  
• Establish monitoring, drift detection, failure management, and production support strategies.
  

Engineering Leadership

• Review technical designs and implementation approaches.
  
• Identify architectural risks, security concerns, and quality issues.
  
• Mentor engineering teams and establish delivery standards.
  

Client Engagement & Pre-Sales

• Lead technical workshops with CTOs, CDOs, CIOs, and Risk leaders.
  
• Translate business goals into practical AI solutions.
  
• Support solution scoping and statement-of-work development.
  

Reusable Intellectual Property

• Create reference architectures, governance frameworks, evaluation methodologies, and design patterns.
  
• Contribute assets that can be leveraged across future engagements.
  

Requirements

Required Qualifications

Experience

• 8+ years of experience in software engineering, AI/ML systems, cloud architecture, or related fields.
  
• Minimum 3 years building and deploying production AI or agentic systems.
  
• Demonstrated experience delivering enterprise-grade technology solutions.

About the Role We are seeking a GenAI Engineer with 3–6 years of experience to design and build production-grade AI systems using Large Language Models (LLMs), Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), and agent-based architectures. This role requires strong engineering depth combined with applied AI expertise to deliver scalable, reliable, and efficient AI-powered applications. 

What You'll Do & The Impact You'll Have 

• Design and build production-grade AI features leveraging LLMs, RAG pipelines, and agent-based systems. 
• Implement end-to-end RAG pipelines including retrieval strategies, embeddings, vector search optimization, context orchestration, guardrails, and fallback mechanisms. 
• Orchestrate agent workflows using frameworks such as LangGraph, LangChain, or similar, ensuring clear state management and safe multi-step reasoning. 
• Develop and deploy cloud-native microservices and APIs (REST/gRPC) to serve AI applications at scale. 
• Build and optimize event-driven architectures for real-time AI system interactions. 

• Work with graph databases (e.g., Neo4j, Amazon Neptune) to model and query complex relationships. 
• Fine-tune models and optimize performance for domain-specific use cases. 
• Ensure production reliability including latency optimization, throughput scaling, token efficiency, and cost control. 
• Implement observability, monitoring, and logging for AI systems, including prompt/model versioning and rollback strategies. 
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including data scientists, engineers, and product stakeholders to deliver impactful AI solutions. 

What You'll Bring to the Table 

Must-Have Skills: 

• Experience: 3–6 years in AI/ML engineering, software engineering, or applied AI roles. 
• Hands-on experience building production-grade applications using LLMs, RAG, and agent-based systems. 
• Strong programming skills in Python, with exposure to Node.js, Java, or Go. 
• Experience designing cloud-native architectures including microservices, REST/gRPC APIs, and event-driven systems. 
• Solid understanding of embeddings, vector databases, and retrieval strategies.
