The Role
The Head of Membership leads The Nanson’s membership strategy, growth, and engagement. This role oversees acquisition, retention, partnerships, reciprocal clubs, and curated member experiences, while leading the Membership & Engagement team to deliver a seamless, value-led journey. At its heart, the role is about building a vibrant community — bringing people together through inspiring conversations, intellectual exchange, and meaningful wellness experiences.
Key Responsibilities
Membership Strategy & Growth
● Drive membership acquisition, onboarding, retention, and engagement
● Own membership P&L, KPIs, reporting, and performance insights
● Analyse trends to inform strategic decisions
Partnerships, Benefits & Reciprocal Clubs
● Build strategic partnerships and co-branded activations
● Oversee member benefits and reciprocal club relationships globally
● Evaluate partnerships to ensure strategic fit, alignment of interests and impact
Community & Engagement
● Cultivate a vibrant, inclusive member community
● Build meaningful relationships with and among members
● Identify and nurture member ambassadors
Systems & Processes
● Oversee CRM, reporting and membership operations
● Collaborate with Marketing on member communications
● Continuously improve membership systems and workflows
What we’re looking for
● 3-5 years of experience in customer-facing roles, focused on business development or consumer engagement
● Ability to organise, structure and present data to drive meaningful insights
● Excellent communicator, negotiator, and relationship-builder. This role is for someone with a global outlook and exposure, who is confident and comfortable engaging with a global membership base across industries and sectors
● Passionate about building communities, culture, and experiences that truly connect people
● Proven track record in delivering results
● Experience in the hospitality and/or luxury sectors is an advantage, but not a requirement
