The Lead Systems Analyst will be responsible for driving the design, delivery, and integration of UOB’s Tokenised Deposits Platform. This includes defining requirements for token lifecycle operations (issue, transfer, lock, redeem), on chain/off chain settlement, programmability features, and interoperability with payments, treasury, and liquidity systems.
This role partners with Payments, Technology, Architecture, Compliance, and Treasury teams to deliver a secure, regulated, production grade tokenised deposit infrastructure that supports domestic and cross border settlement use cases.
Key Responsibilities
1. Tokenised Deposits Platform Analysis & Solution Design
• Lead end to end functional analysis for UOB’s tokenised deposit platform including:
o Token issuance, minting, and burning
o Transfer logic, atomic settlement, and conditional settlement rules
o Token locking/unlocking, escrow, and programmability
o Redemption and conversion back to traditional deposits
• Define user journeys and system workflows for customers, operations, and treasury when interacting with tokenised deposits.
• Design the full token lifecycle and state machine, ensuring accuracy, traceability, and reconciliation with core banking systems.
2. On Chain / Off Chain Integration & Settlement
• Define integration patterns between:
o DLT nodes and UOB’s tokenisation engine
o Payment hubs and settlement processors
o Core banking, deposit systems, and general ledger
o AML, sanctions, transaction monitoring engines
• Design settlement flows for:
o Domestic payments using tokenised deposits
o Cross border corridors leveraging tokenised deposits as settlement assets
o Interbank or inter entity transfers on tokenised rails
• Ensure deterministic, final and auditable settlement regardless of whether settlement occurs on chain or off chain.
3. Architecture & Platform Delivery Leadership
• Work closely with Solution Architects to define:
o Smart contract modules for deposit tokens
o Token metadata standards, security constraints, and compliance hooks
o Wallet integration (custodial / institutional / MPC-based)
o Key management and signing workflows
• Define API specifications and event models for token issuance, transfer, settlement, and reconciliation.
• Support the overall platform design to achieve scalability, resilience, fault tolerance, and regulatory compliance.
4. Regulatory, Risk & Compliance Alignment
• Translate MAS regulatory expectations regarding digitised deposits, DPT, stablecoins, and tokenised money into system requirements and controls.
• Ensure compliance with AML/CFT screening, Travel Rule requirements, traceability, and token provenance rules.
• Design audit trails, event logs, and monitoring capabilities for token movement and settlement.
• Ensure TRM compliant architecture covering confidentiality, integrity, availability, and tamper proof recordkeeping.
5. Delivery & Engineering Support
• Lead analysis workstreams across Agile squads delivering tokenised deposit capabilities.
• Provide precise clarifications to developers on token logic, settlement rules, smart contract behaviour, and edge cases.
• Support QA in designing and executing tests for:
o Multi currency token issuance
o Settlement finality and state transitions
o Token to core banking reconciliation
o Failure/retry, rollbacks, and operational exceptions
6. Stakeholder & Vendor Engagement
• Collaborate with Blockchain and Digital Assets, Payments, Treasury, Operations, Risk, and Compliance to refine use cases and delivery scope.
• Manage vendor interfaces for DLT platforms, tokenisation engines, custody providers, or digital asset infrastructure components.
• Communicate platform behaviour, risk implications, and architectural decisions clearly across business and technology teams.
