Lico Resources has been mandated to identify an established Cybersecurity Leader for a large-scale enterprise with diversified operations. This is a critical appointment for an organization that prides itself on world-class governance. You will lead the audit evolution across a complex technology landscape, ensuring robust controls over a global footprint spanning finance, procurement, and shared services.
For a seasoned Cybersecurity professional, this is a rare opportunity to work at the frontier of cybersecurity and technology risk, with genuine influence over how the organisation anticipates and responds to an evolving threat landscape.
The Role
The Team Lead will direct audit coverage across the organisation's technology infrastructure and cybersecurity domains, overseeing a team of auditors and serving as the technical authority on matters spanning cyber resilience, cloud operations, DevSecOps, and AI governance. Beyond the core audit programme, the role carries an advisory dimension — engaging stakeholders during system development and transformation projects to embed security and control thinking from the outset.
Cybersecurity & Infrastructure Assurance
The Team Lead will lead reviews of the organisation's cybersecurity posture and technology roadmap, assessing the robustness of infrastructure controls, cloud environments, and datacentre operations against established frameworks including MITRE ATT&CK, CIS, and ITIL. Reviews will examine how well the organisation identifies, contains, and recovers from cyber threats, with particular attention to resilience and system availability across business-critical operations.
Emerging Technology & AI Governance
A distinguishing feature of this role is its coverage of new and emerging technologies. The Team Lead will develop and drive audit and advisory work across AI security, AI governance frameworks, and DevSecOps practices — areas where audit methodology is still maturing and where the incumbent's technical curiosity and judgement will carry significant weight. Data analytics will be deployed actively to surface inefficiencies and control gaps within cyber and technology processes.
SDLC & Transformation Advisory
The incumbent will participate in system development life cycle reviews, providing timely input on security architecture and control design across pre- and post-implementation phases. This positions the role as a valued contributor to the organisation's technology change agenda, not merely a retrospective reviewer.
Leadership & Stakeholder Engagement
The Team Lead will present findings and assessments to senior management and board-level audit committees with clarity and authority. Internally, the role involves managing the audit team's performance, driving technical development, and setting the standard for work quality across all engagements. Building and sustaining strong working relationships with business leadership and external auditors is also a core expectation.
What We're Looking For
- Degree in Computing, Accountancy, or a related discipline
- At least 12 years of IT audit experience in an external or internal capacity, with a focus on infrastructure and cybersecurity
- Proven track record at a Big 4 firm or within the internal audit function of a large organisation
- Working knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks and standards, including MITRE ATT&CK, CIS, and ITIL
- Hands-on familiarity with cloud environments, DevSecOps practices, and datacentre operations
- Demonstrated ability to engage at board and senior management level on complex technology risk matters
- Experience leading and developing an audit team
Advantageous
- Certifications such as CISA, CRISC, CISM, CISSP, CIA, PMP, or Agile credentials
- Exposure to AI governance frameworks and security considerations for AI-enabled systems
- Background in IT security implementation — whether in-house, through a systems integrator, or in a consulting role
- Experience applying AI, automation, or cloud-based tooling to enhance audit delivery
The Person
You are a technically authoritative professional who has spent years at the intersection of cybersecurity, infrastructure, and audit — and who brings both depth and perspective to that space. You stay genuinely current with the technology landscape, approaching new developments like AI and DevSecOps with intellectual rigour rather than buzzword fluency. You lead from the front, setting high standards while remaining accessible and invested in the growth of those around you. Stakeholders find you credible and direct — you surface difficult findings without ambiguity and frame them in ways that prompt action rather than defensiveness.
