Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated BIM Intern specializing in MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing) systems to support our project team. This internship provides hands-on experience in BIM modeling using Revit, exposure to real-world projects, and the opportunity to learn industry standards and coordination processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in developing 3D BIM models for MEP systems using Revit.

• Support the preparation of drawings, layouts, and schedules from BIM models.

• Help update models based on design revisions and coordination feedback.

• Participate in model coordination and clash detection processes under supervision.

• Assist in maintaining organized BIM files, documentation, and version control.

• Support the team in preparing shop drawings and basic quantity take-offs.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a Diploma or Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Building Services Engineering, or a related field.

• Basic knowledge of Autodesk Revit is preferred.

• Understanding of MEP systems is an advantage.

• Familiarity with AutoCAD or other design software is a plus.

We are looking for Senior Project Engineer who has experience in Project Implementation for Mechanical works especially Piping, Structural Steel and Tankage works. He will follow through the whole project lifecycle from estimation, tendering, detail engineering to project management and implementation.

Site Engineer reports to Site Manager and is responsible for the below:

• Support the creation of detailed construction plan, contributing to the sequencing and methodology discussion.
• Drive site work ensuring productivity, safety and quality goals are achieved.
• Prepare construction equipment loading chart and assist in its updates as necessary.
• Understand Project Safety Requirements, together with HSE Coordinator/Officer and inputs from SM to prepare RA after taking due consideration for safety, constructability & productivity
• Prepare, update and revise Detailed MTO (Material Take-Off) based on actual site measurements of latest IFC drawings.
• Evaluate and plan the scaffolding needs for new as well as modification based on evolving site needs
• Prepare Level 5 micro-schedule to enable 02 Wk 4M look-ahead
• Prepare and update Regular Site reports and Project Forecast.
• Attend daily toolbox meeting and support Pre-task talk by Supervisor to disseminate work plan for the day
• Coordinate work sequence with other trade partners engineers especially those predecent, concurrent and subsequent trade partners to minimise clashes and ensure continuous workfront
• Coordinate with Procurement for material delivery schedule based on 4M micro schedule
• Drive the closure of punch lists and the completion of necessary documentation, ensuring that items are resolved in a timely manner.
• Support Supervisor to conduct pneumatic testing and trace leaks and conduct leak repairs, hydrotest followed by flushing and passivation
• Oversee the completion of reinstatement works and ensure that any remaining punch list items are cleared, leading to project closure.

To manage and coordinate the production of quality shop drawings and BIM models in all projects assigned with minimal supervision. He/ She must be able to carry out HVAC/piping-related drawings.

• To produce 2D drawings from BIM models with accuracy ensuring drawings produced are according to the Project or the Client’s Drafting Standards and Procedures, and that the drawing submission schedule is achieved.
• Maintain proper records of all issued & received models/drawings, Clash Reports, RFIs, etc.
• BIM Register following the company’s ISO Standards and Procedures and ensuring all the drawings are completed on schedule or promptly.
• Perform regular drawing backups and housekeeping work in the directory
• The secondary role includes developing technical plans, sections, details, and 2D/3D schematic diagrams using AutoCAD and in-house software.
• Accountable for the fluent/organized presentation, content correctness/accuracy of shop drawings production in form, fit, and function through thorough coordinates with other trades and services in 2D/ 3D submission.
• Responsible for ensuring full compliance with the company’s Shop Drawings Standard Operation Procedure, including adherence to design provision/scope of work according to contractual obligations.
• Generate a clash report based on the Matrix provided
• Work under the supervision of the Project Manager and perform the work tasks assigned.

Experience / Skills

• Degree/ Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or other relevant disciplines.
• Preferably with a minimum of 2 years of working experience in space planning, and design coordination, preferably on different scales of projects within engineering design consulting business.
• Having good knowledge of software such as Revit, and AutoCAD.
• Knowledge in Isometric drawings, LOD 350, and Plant 3D will be added advantages
• Good planning skills in managing modeling and drafting work.

Responsibilities

• Develop and enforce the BIM Execution Plan (BEP) and internal standards to ensure consistent digital delivery across all project phases
• Lead inter-disciplinary clash detection workshops to identify and resolve design conflicts proactively before construction, reducing rework and delays
• Generate and oversee the production of 2D shop drawings for submissions and approvals, ensuring accuracy and compliance with project requirements
• Allocate and manage BIM Engineers across multiple projects to deliver timely, high-quality digital models and documentation
• Translate complex technical BIM data into actionable site solutions to support on-site teams and improve construction efficiency

Required competencies and certifications
