Summary

Day to day classroom management and professional practice in accordance with the Mission and policies of ISS International, Singapore.

Responsibilities

• Delivery of the curriculum in accordance with the guidelines stated in the ISS Curriculum Document.
• Participation in curriculum review and development, extra-curricular and activity week programs/Week Without Walls, ISS pastoral care program (homeroom duties, reporting procedures, student guidance, liaison with ISS Student Services), ongoing school development programs and school's accreditation program.
• Support of the ISS Strategic Plan.
• Provide support for the ISS Marketing department initiatives.
• Provide support for the ISS Admissions department initiatives.
• Implementation of the ISS Discipline Policy.
• Regular communication between parent/guardian and the school.
• Relief teaching, student supervision and as required by the Academic Directors.
• Attend and participate in all staff meetings, In-Service Day programs, relevant training programs and in school events (Parents Evenings, Concert, Graduation, etc).
• Ongoing professional training to remain up to date with educational developments.
• Awareness of evacuation and safety procedures and its communication to students as directed by the ISS Safety Officer.
• Any ad-hoc academic duties as requested by Academic Directors.

Education/trade qualification/other requirements generally required for job

• Recognised Bachelor's Degree in Education or a relevant subject area.
• Valid teaching qualification or teaching licence recognised by the relevant education authority.
• Minimum two (2) years of teaching experience in secondary education. Experience in the IB Middle Years Programme (MYP), Diploma Programme (DP), and/or an international school environment will be an advantage.
• Strong organisational, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment.

Working Schedule

Mon to Fri, 6.30 am to 6 pm, Sat, 8 am to 5 pm, rotational work 2 days and off 1 day.

Responsibilities

• Greet visitors and log in all visitors entering and leaving the school premises during school operation hours.
• Check all staff and students for valid IDs entering and leaving the school premises during school operation hours.
• Log in all staff and students entering and leaving the school premises after school operation hours and on weekends.
• Monitor and direct vehicular traffic entering and leaving the school premises, assist in maintaining safe traffic flow during start and end of the school day.
• Investigate alarms and disturbances and report all such situations to the Assistant Manager, Facilities.
• Record details of security-related incidents, eg. break-ins, dangerous driving within school premises, activation of the security alarm system etc. in the Occurrence Book and alert the Assistant Manager, Facilities immediately.
• Issue warning of rule infractions or violations and, where warranted, apprehend or evict violators from premises as directed by the Assistant Manager, Facilities or Senior School staff.
• Call police or fire departments in emergency situations such as fire or suspicious unauthorized personnel on school premises.
• To attend training be in line with the Singapore Police Force new Licensing Condition for Security Officer.
• Follow the security SOP meticulously and carry them out diligently and sensibly.
• Coordinate vacation leave with the team to ensure minimal disruption to the daily operational schedule.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the immediate supervisor or Deputy CEO.

• You should possess relevant security officer license issued by PLRD.
• You should be able to deal with unexpected emergencies calmly and sensibly.

Responsibilities

• Attend to lab request sheets handed in by the teachers
• Clear and clean all apparatus after each experiment and periodically clean up all laboratories and the chemical storeroom and microscope slides
• Check that all electrical equipment, sensors and meters are in working order and monitor maintenance requests for the laboratories
• Perform safety procedures such as checking first aid cabinets, eyewash stations etc
• Check and count all textbooks returned by the students
• Update science records on the computer
• Purchasing of essential items for experiments e.g. plants
• Monitor and regularly update the chemicals/stock list on the computer
• Maintain lists and contact numbers for suppliers
• Check stock and replenish empty bench reagents
• To assist where possible when a teacher is absent
• Assist students with their practical work
• Support senior students with their practical work for Extended Essays, Internal Assessments and Group 4 projects.
• Keep up to date with laboratory safety (CLEAPPS) and file documents
• Attend to teacher request for photo-copying for lessons/ examinations
• Attend to any requests from science teachers

Requirements

• You should possess a diploma in Science/Chemistry or other related fields.
• You should possess preferably 2 years’ experience in a school laboratory
• You should have strict attention to details and be able to work at ease with people from different cultural backgrounds.
• You should possess good interpersonal skills to build good rapport with students and parents
• You are a team player and are comfortable to work with all departments across the organization

Finance (AP)

• Verify and process supplier invoices by matching invoices with purchase orders and supporting documents

• Prepare vendor payments (cheque / TT / GIRO)

• Maintain and update vendor master records in the accounting system

• Handle enquiries relating to Accounts Payable

• Reconcile AP creditor accounts in the General Ledger

• Update leasing and hire purchase schedules

• Assist with monthly AP closing activities, including provisions, accruals, and prepayments

• Generate monthly AP reports and statements of unpresented cheques

• Assist with audit schedules and banking-related matters

• Handle petty cash consolidation and reimbursement on a monthly basis

Purchasing & Procurement

• Process and prepare purchase requisitions and purchase orders in accordance with approved budgets and policies

• Coordinate with internal departments on purchasing and procurement requirements

• Source quotations from suppliers and support basic supplier evaluation and comparison

• Liaise with suppliers on pricing, delivery schedules, and documentation

• Track purchase orders to ensure timely delivery of goods and services

Requirements

Requirements

Maintenance Technician provide assistance and support the Assistant Manager, Facilities in the maintenance and housekeeping functions.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Survey buildings and repair mechanical systems to ensure they are consistent with health and safety standards.
• Perform maintenance of electrical systems (replace light bulbs and sockets, clean and repair circuit breaker panels etc.)
• Assist in the setup of ventilation, air Conditioning and other systems and conduct repairs when necessary.
• Assist in installation, testing, commissioning and troubleshooting of CCTV, electrical wiring, cabling installation and electronic circuit.
• Maintain plumbing systems to ensure functionality.
• Perform manual repairs when necessary (fix locks, replace windows etc.)
• Undertake activities of pest control such as spraying insecticide.
• Conduct general upkeep procedures and other tasks as assigned (painting, carpentry etc.)
• Undertake any other related assignment that may be given by the manager and/or his/her designate.

Requirements

• Minimum Nitec (NTC-3) or equivalent qualification in electrical/mechanical.
• At least 1 year experience in building maintenance or 2 years of relevant experience.
• Proven experience as maintenance technician.
• Basic understanding of electrical and plumbing work.
• Knowledge of general maintenance processes and methods.
• Working knowledge of tools, common appliances and devices.
• Manual dexterity and problem-solving skills.
