Job Description:
* Responsible for the implementation and monitoring of Workplace Safety & Health and Environment Management Systems at work sites.
* Ensure all Health & Safety policies, procedures, rules and regulations are adhered to and are regularly reviewed, updated and communicated.
•Investigate accidents / incidents / dangerous occurrences and recommend remedial measures to prevent any recurrences.
* Ensure all accidents are documented, investigated and recommended improvements implemented.
* Coordinate project safety matters with project team and subcontractors.
* Liaise with authorities like MOM, NEA, PUB HDB and consultants on safety related matters.
* Conduct regular WSH inspections and follow-up actions to ensure safety compliance
* Ensure the completion and regular review of risk assessments for all work equipments and operations
* Ensure the Project meets its statutory obligations in all areas pertaining to health, safety and welfare at work, including statutory training and reporting
* Review of subcontractor’s health & safety policies, systems of work and procedures.
* Perform any other ad-hoc duties assigned by the Superior.
Job Requirements
* Possess at least a Diploma or Degree in Engineering / Construction, BCSS, Advanced Certificate in WSH (Level B), Work-At-Height Course for Supervisor Certificate and Risk Management Certificate.
* Possess a valid registration with MOM as Workplace Safety and Health Officer (WSHO).
* Minimum 2 to 4 years of relevant working experience in Engineering and Construction Industry.
* Must be able to understand and interpret technical drawings/specifications.
* Familiar with construction site safety inspections and regulations.
* A good team player who is hands-on and meticulous in his / her work.
•Good written and verbal communication skills are required to prepare formal safety reports and communicate with management.
* Able to start work immediately or within a short notice.
Working hours: 8am to 5pm, Monday to Saturday
