ELECTRICAL SUPERVISOR

• Supervise and perform maintenance of marine electrical system/component in workshops and onboard vessels
• Perform electrical wiring, cabling and modification of electrical circuit.
• Dismantle and troubleshooting for Electrical and Control circuitry.
• Test electrical systems and continuity of circuits in electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures, using testing devices such as Multimeter, Insulation tester and Process calibrator
• Participate in the repair of electrical components in workshop and onboard ships.
• Ensure work daily assigned are carried out effectively and productively to meet customer specifications and requirements
• Ensure safety, quality of work and meet delivery deadline
• Performs maintenance and repair of generators, switchboards, controllers, circuit breakers, electrical motors, distribution panels, alarm and lighting circuits
• Conducts insulation resistance measurements of electrical cables to determine condition and effects repairs or replacements as required
• Supervises and participate in the installation and/or alteration to electrical systems aboard ships

• Assist to manage and lead commercial team including development, training, performance management and succession planning

• Resolving contractual and commercial problems and to report to the management regularly

• Manage internal relationships with operations, commercial, Sales and Marketing to ensure optimal performance and to provide commercial requirements for projects and sales activities.

• Interpreting financial, operational, commercial or customer insights to ensure a commercial/billing issue is fully understood and that hard hitting action are taken and constantly reviewed

• Developing, reviewing and optimizing commercial strategies against key competitors

• Work with the Sales team to target specific ‘high value’ customers and ensuring the business is maximizing revenue

• Extensive experience in the required field

• Proven ability to perform a variety of tasks, often changing assignments on short notice.

• Proven ability to prioritize and complete work assignments by specific deadlines.

Job Description & Requirements

·        To perform troubleshooting, repair and maintenance of alternator, generators and motors equipment with respect to its mechanical function. In addition, to maintain proper recording of each task undertook, inclusive of the remedy action performed.

REQUIREMENTSOF THE POSITION

·        Minimum Qualifications

·        a) Minimum GCE ‘O’ Level holder or equivalent with 2 – 3 years of working experience in mechanical repair alternator, generator and motor or related equipment.

b) NTC holder of Mechanical Engineering discipline with 1 – 2 years of related working experience will be preferred

RESPONSIBILITIES

·        Immediate response to equipment breakdown request, as instructed by supervisor.

·        Troubleshooting and analysis of faults or problem encountered by alternator, generators and motors equipment, thereafter, to meet out corrective action to recover equipment immediately.

·        Perform periodic maintenance and checks on alternator, generators and motors equipment, as planned or scheduled.

·        Repair and reconditioning of mechanical or hydraulic parts.

·        Complete job record form for each activity undertook and promptly returns the form to supervisor.
