About the Role
We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Sales Support Executive to join a leading logistics provider's contract logistics team. In this role, you will work closely with the sales and operations teams to support business development efforts, manage customer accounts, and ensure seamless service delivery for warehousing and distribution clients.
This is a sales enablement role—not a pure hunting position. You will be responsible for preparing proposals, managing tenders, coordinating with internal teams, and ensuring that client requirements are translated into operational solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Sales Support & Proposal Management
- Prepare and coordinate sales proposals, quotations, and tender submissions (RFQ/RFP) for contract logistics services.
- Work with operations, pricing, and legal teams to ensure proposals are commercially viable and operationally sound.
- Maintain a library of standard sales documents, case studies, and capability statements.
Client Coordination
- Act as the primary point of contact for assigned clients during the sales and onboarding phase.
- Liaise between clients and internal operations teams to ensure smooth handover from sales to execution.
- Support account management activities, including contract renewals and service reviews.
Operational Support
- Assist the Head of Contract Logistics Operations in tracking sales pipelines, preparing reports, and monitoring KPIs.
- Coordinate with warehouse and transport teams to ensure client requirements are understood and met.
- Support the implementation of new client accounts, including SOP development and system setup.
Administrative & Compliance
- Maintain accurate records of client communications, contracts, and pricing agreements.
- Ensure all sales documentation complies with company policies and regulatory requirements.
- Support ad-hoc projects as assigned by the Head of Contract Logistics Operations.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Diploma or Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business, or a related field.
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in sales support, key account management, or customer service within the logistics industry.
- Prior experience in contract logistics, warehousing, or distribution is strongly preferred.
Skills & Competencies
- Strong understanding of contract logistics operations (warehousing, inventory management, distribution).
- Experience preparing tenders (RFQ/RFP) and sales proposals.
- Excellent communication and coordination skills—able to work with both internal teams and external clients.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word). Familiarity with CRM or WMS systems is a plus.
- Detail-oriented, organised, and able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
