Job Description

The job involves the supervision of large civil and infrastructure projects such as the Cross Island Line and supervision of production for precast elements for super structures in HDB projects.

We have openings for the position of Resident Technical Officer, RTO, for both Station and Bored Tunnel Works.

For RTO Tunnel, the candidate shall have minimum eight (8) years of relevant experiencein projects similar in nature to the Works in the Civil Contracts. For RTO Station, a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in supervision deep excavation/basement works.

Shift Works are required.

MRT Project experience will be an advantage.

All RTO shall have a diploma in the civil discipline or equivalent and be accredited by JAC of IES/ACES as QSS.

The RTO (Tunnel) shall also be accredited as Resident

Description:

-To assist Qualified Person (Supervision) in ensuring the works is carried out in accordance to approved drawings

- Manage a team of Resident Technical Officer(s) in performing their duties on site supervision

- Liase and conduct inspection with Contractor and Consultant

- Oversee all aspects of the project and keep record of works, materials, attend meetings, keeping minutes of meetings and discussions etc.

Requirements:

- Accredited as a Resident Engineer with IES/ACES

-Degree in civil and structural engineering from a University accredited by the Professional Engineers Board, Singapore

-Literate in English and have a good knowledge to use computer softwares. E.g. Microsoft office

-Experience in LTA project sites would be a plus

Description:

- Minimum 5 years relevant experience

• Supervise installation of ducts, anchorages, and PT strands
• Ensure correct alignment and fixing before concrete casting
• Plan and execute post-tensioning stressing operations
• Monitor elongation readings vs theoretical values
• Conduct and supervise grouting operations
• Verify materials (strands, wedges, anchor heads, grout) meet specifications
• Maintain PT records: stressing logs, elongation reports, calibration certificates
• Prepare Inspection Test Plans (ITPs) and checklists
• Ensure compliance with project specifications and applicable codes
• Coordinate with:Site engineers and construction teamsDesign engineers / consultantsPT system suppliers and subcontractors
• Resolve technical issues such as:Blocked ductsStrand breakageIncorrect elongation results
• Plan PT activities in line with construction schedule
• Report daily progress and highlight delays/issues
