GoalSetterz Business Solutions is looking for a passionate and experienced Drama Instructor to conduct and lead the school's Drama Club CCA programme at Compassvale Secondary School.

Training Schedule

CCA Days: Wednesday and Friday
(excluding public holidays, school holidays, and CCA stand-down periods)

Training Hours:

• Wednesday: 3:00 PM – 5:00 PM

• Friday: 1:30 PM – 3:30 PM

Additional training sessions may be required for key events such as:

• CCA Open House

• Singapore Youth Festival (SYF)

• Performing Arts Showcase

• Values-in-Action (VIA) Programmes

• Teachers' Day Concert

• International Science Drama Competition

• Other school-related performances and events

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will:

• Design and implement a developmentally appropriate 30-week Drama training programme in consultation with the Teacher-in-Charge.

• Develop students' passion for Drama while nurturing positive values and character.

• Effectively manage and motivate students to work collaboratively.

• Guide students in scriptwriting and script development with student participation.

• Prepare students for performances, competitions, and showcases, including SYF and non-SYF events.

• Support students participating in multiple concurrent events and performances.

• Commit to the full contract duration and provide continuity in instruction.

• Where possible, expose students to external learning opportunities such as theatre performances, industry visits, community engagement projects, and collaborations with other schools.

Requirements

Applicants should meet the following requirements:

• Registered with the Ministry of Education (MOE) as an instructor.

• Possess a Diploma in Drama, Theatre Studies, Performing Arts, or a related field.

• Preferably have a minimum of 2 years of coaching experience with a Secondary School Drama Club.

• Strong classroom and student management skills.

• Ability to develop scripts, direct performances, and mentor students effectively.

• Passionate about youth development through the performing arts.

Assist the Discipline team in the overall management of the students’ discipline, on a daily basis

• Assist in manning detention for late comers after school, on an ad hoc basis

• Oversee students who are suspended from class, on an ad hoc basis

• Supervise, call on and ensure the conduct of Corrective Work Order – canteen/classroom cleaning

• Patrol the school premises to ensure orderliness, on a daily basis

• Be involved in case management for students identified as at-risk

• Conduct investigations as part of case management and submit report

• Conduct and follow-up on spot-checks on students’ general neatness in appearance like attire and hair and look into administrative recording of spot check outcome

• Participate in Case Management Meetings on an ad hoc basis

• Perform any other duties as and when assigned by the School Leaders or Subject Head, Student Management

Requirements:

Must have passed ‘N’ Level or its equivalent.

3. should possess good communication and inter-personal skills. He/she should also be a good team player with a high level of initiative and work well with staff and teachers on student matters

4. Having relevant experience in a school environment will be an advantage

Contract Period-From 15 July 2026 to 14 July 2027 Working hours:

• Mondays to Fridays: 7.15am to 2:30pm, inclusive of 45 min lunch break

• No need to work on Saturdays, Sundays, school holidays (in Mar/Jun/Sep/Nov/Dec) and gazetted public holidays

The Job scope are as follows:

Support Student Development Team (SDT) in student management matters, including case management:

1.         Help to locate and manage students in holding rooms during case management (e.g. missing students, meltdowns, discipline case).

2.         Support SDT to take statement from students as part of case management.

3.         Supervise student detention and in-school suspension.

4.         Supervise / engage students with additional needs (SwANs) - selected case support.

5.         Assist to review CCTV footage for case management.

6.         Assist the Case Management Team (CMT) to maintain records of all cases.

Conduct regular patrols of school premises and nearby premises

1.         Canteen

2.         Free Play areas (e.g. school field, ISH, quadrangle)

3.         Toilet Areas

4.         Classrooms (during SDL – self-directed learning)

5.         Special rooms (e.g. CCA rooms, Dance studio, library)

Others

1.         Support school events, e.g. Chaperone student supporters for NSG finals, Open House.

2.         During Home-Based Learning and school holidays – attached to school admin / operations teams.

3.         Any other duties as decided by school leaders.

The Personnel shall either have prior experience, preferably in a school environment or relevant experience with the skills necessary in handling student management matters.  More importantly, the Personnel must have a heart for and be able to work closely with teenagers.  Other skills, such as ability to build rapport with people, manage and work with teenagers, investigative and organisational skills, as well as the ability to remain calm during volatile and fast-paced situations are important.

Working Hours-
·      Mondays to Thursdays: 8am to 5pm, inclusive of 1hr lunchbreak

·      Fridays: 8am to 4:30pm, inclusive of 1hr lunch break

·      Not required to work on Saturdays, Sundays and gazetted public holidays

·      However, there could be school events on Saturdays, or extending to later part of the evening, for which all staff involved would be required to support accordingly.

• Minimum GCE N-Level qualification or equivalent
• Prior experience in student management, youth engagement, education support, school operations, security, social service, or related environments is advantageous
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to build positive rapport with adolescents while maintaining professional boundaries
• Able to remain calm, objective, and professional in challenging or fast-paced situations
• Comfortable carrying out supervision duties across indoor and outdoor environments
• Good documentation and record-keeping skills
• Must be legally authorised to work in Singapore at the point of application

Key Responsibilities

Trade Documentation Support
