Job Summary
We seek a detail-oriented Cloud Cost & Partner Operations Associate to support cloud cost tracking, reporting, partner program coordination, and internal operations. This entry-level role offers training and cross-team collaboration opportunities.
Responsibilities
- Collect, organize, and verify cloud usage and spending data across internal and client environments to ensure accuracy.
- Prepare regular cloud cost reports, usage summaries, budget tracking files, and internal reporting materials to support decision-making.
- Analyze cost data to identify trends, unusual spending patterns, or areas needing further review by senior team members.
- Perform cloud cost governance tasks including tagging checks, cost allocation follow-up, data validation, and reporting standardization.
- Track and maintain updates on AWS/GCP pricing, credits, discounts, rebates, and partner program information under guidance.
- Assist with partner operational processes such as document preparation, application tracking, internal follow-up, and status updates.
- Collaborate with sales, solution, finance, and operations teams to support proposal preparation, cost verification, and internal coordination.
- Maintain and update internal templates, trackers, playbooks, and process documentation related to cloud cost and partner operations.
Required competencies and certifications
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets to manage and analyze operational data effectively.
- Strong analytical skills to work comfortably with numbers, spreadsheets, reports, and operational data.
- Effective communication and coordination skills to collaborate with diverse internal teams.
- Ability to learn new systems, tools, and processes quickly and apply them to daily tasks.
- Good spoken and written English. Mandarin proficiency is preferred to support communication with clients, partners, and stakeholders in China and the Greater China region, as well as Chinese-language documentation.
Preferred competencies and qualifications
- Internship, project, or coursework experience related to finance, operations, data analysis, cloud computing, or business analytics.
- Basic understanding of AWS, GCP, cloud billing, or cloud cost management concepts.
- Experience using Excel functions, pivot tables, or data visualization tools such as Looker Studio, Power BI, or Tableau.
- Experience preparing reports, trackers, documentation, or process summaries.
- Relevant certifications such as AWS Cloud Practitioner, Google Cloud Digital Leader, or FinOps Foundation.
