Role Description
We are looking for an Accountant or Senior Accountant to join our growing team. You will handle the full spectrum of accounting services for a portfolio of SME clients, working closely with the Directors in a supportive and collaborative environment. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who values professional growth over billable hours — there are no timesheets or revenue targets.
Key Responsibilities:
• Prepare and maintain full sets of accounts for multiple SME clients, from bookkeeping through to finalisation of management accounts and financial statements.
• Handle month-end and year-end closing procedures, including journal entries, accruals, prepayments, and reconciliations.
• Manage accounts receivable, accounts payable, bank reconciliations, and general ledger maintenance using Xero.
• Prepare GST returns (F5/F7) and ensure timely IRAS submissions.
• Assist in the preparation of unaudited financial statements in compliance with Singapore Financial Reporting Standards (SFRS).
• Liaise with external auditors, tax agents, and regulatory bodies as required.
• Support clients with ad hoc accounting queries, financial analysis, and reporting.
• Contribute to process improvements and the development of standardised workflows for the team.
Job Requirements:
(Must Have)
• Diploma or Degree in Accountancy, Finance, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in accounting or audit (Accountant); 4+ years for Senior Accountant.
• Proficiency in Xero accounting software (hands-on experience required).
• Strong working knowledge of full set of accounts, including GL, AP/AR, and bank reconciliations.
• Familiarity with Singapore tax filing requirements and GST compliance.
• Meticulous, well-organised, and able to manage multiple client portfolios independently.
(Good-to-Have/ Preferred)
• Knowledge of corporate secretarial matters (e.g. ACRA filings, annual returns, board resolutions).
• Understanding of Singapore corporate and personal tax (e.g. Form C-S, ECI, IR8A).
• Prior experience in a professional services or outsourced accounting environment.
