About the Role
The BD Assistant is responsible for the operational success and technical execution of the BD team’s portfolio. You are not just a coordinator; you are a technical specialist who understands the trade lifecycle, regulatory requirements (KYC/AML), and financial product mechanics. Your goal is to provide the BD team with "clean" files and "smooth" settlements.
Key Responsibilities:
● Trade Execution & Order Management:
o Directly handle and execute client orders across Funds, Equities, Fixed Income, and structured products.
o Liaise with investment partners and fund managers to ensure timely subscription/redemption.
o Manage the post-trade lifecycle, ensuring all deals settle without delay.
● KYC & Compliance Ownership:
o Manage the full onboarding process for complex corporate and individual structures.
o Conduct deep-dive reviews of Source of Wealth (SoW) and Source of Funds (SoF) to meet stringent banking standards.
o Oversee periodic reviews and trigger events to keep the portfolio compliant.
● Operational Excellence:
o Identify and bridge gaps in the "Customer Journey" to reduce onboarding friction.
o Prepare professional-grade investment reports and portfolio valuations.
o Act as the "Gatekeeper" for the RM, ensuring all documentation is audit-ready.
Requirements:
● Experience: 1–2 years in Banking or Wealth Management (Operations, Middle Office, or Assistant RM roles).
● Product Knowledge: Solid understanding of how mutual funds, bonds, and credit facilities work.
● KYC Mastery: You don't just know the acronym; you understand the risk logic behind the documentation.
● Tech Savvy: Proficient in CRM systems and banking core platforms (e.g., Bloomberg, Avaloq, or similar).
