Authcor Technologies is seeking a high-energy, technically grounded Data Center IT Operations & Logistics Manager to lead our specialized field services and logistics divisions. This is a "player-coach" role designed for a veteran of the data center environment who can seamlessly transition from a high-level pre-sale strategy meeting to providing expert technical guidance on the data center floor.

As the bridge between our clients' critical infrastructure requirements and our field execution, you will ensure that our Smart Hands and IT Warehouse operations are executed with surgical precision, maintaining the highest standards of reliability and zero-downtime performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Pre-Sale Technical Strategy: Attend pre-sale meetings to validate project scopes, provide technical labor estimates, and ensure operational feasibility for complex data center contracts and migrations.

• Onsite Field Leadership: Provide direct, expert-level support for onsite operations. You are the primary escalation point for complex technical hurdles during live deployments, rack-and-stack, and cabling projects.

• Customer Coordination: Act as the primary technical point of contact for customer requests, ensuring their infrastructure needs are translated into clear, actionable tasks for the onsite team.

• Team Guidance & Mentorship: Lead and develop a team of data center technicians, fostering a "team player" culture that prioritizes safety, technical accuracy, and collaborative success.

• Data Center Lifecycle Management: Oversee the end-to-end delivery of:

  • Smart Hands: Troubleshooting, technical diagnostics, and IMAC (Install, Move, Add, Change).

  • Infrastructure: High-density structured cabling, rack-and-stack installations, and onsite deployment.

  • Migrations: Planning and executing large-scale data center moves and hardware refreshes.

  • IT Logistics: Secure hardware storage, asset tracking/inventory management, staging, configuration, and coordinated global shipping.

Core Requirements

• Field Expertise: Minimum 5+ years of hands-on "Smart Hands" experience specifically within a data center or enterprise colocation environment.

• Technical Proficiency: Deep knowledge of data center power/cooling layouts, fiber/copper structured cabling standards, and break/fix diagnostics for server and networking hardware.

• Collaborative Leadership: A proven "team player" who leads by example, builds trust with field staff, and communicates effectively with corporate stakeholders.

• Logistics & Warehouse Savvy: Proven ability to manage the IT hardware lifecycle, including secure staging, configuration, and the complexities of global equipment logistics.

• High-Stakes Problem Solving: Exceptional ability to remain calm and decisive during high-pressure onsite scenarios or critical infrastructure transitions.

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Lead Data Center Field Technician to provide frontline technical support for hardware, software, and networking systems. This role involves hands-on work in data center environments, including equipment installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and inventory management. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in customer support and technical operations, with the ability to lead and coordinate day-to-day activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality on-site and remote technical support to customers and field personnel.
• Perform data center operations such as:

1. Rack and stack of servers and appliances
2. Cabling and connectivity setup
3. Deployment and decommissioning of hardware
4. Inventory control (scanning, reconciliation)
5. Troubleshooting offline or downed servers
6. Managing inbound and outbound shipping tickets
   

• Lead and support network operations, including incident response and escalation handling for L1, L2, and L3 issues.
• Execute hardware and software installations, break/fix tasks, and site planning.
• Escalate complex issues and develop action plans to resolve them.
• Maintain a high level of customer satisfaction through effective communication and service delivery.
• Participate in a 24/7 standby rotation or shift work as required.
• Travel on short notice may be required, both regionally and globally.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience in customer support within a data center environment.
• Proficient in troubleshooting and maintaining server, storage, and networking hardware.
• Hands-on experience with hardware/software diagnostics and repair.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication skills in English.
• Ability to convey technical updates and resolutions.
• Capable of producing accurate reports and documentation.
• Self-motivated and able to perform under pressure.
