Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated BIM Intern specializing in MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing) systems to support our project team. This internship provides hands-on experience in BIM modeling using Revit, exposure to real-world projects, and the opportunity to learn industry standards and coordination processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in developing 3D BIM models for MEP systems using Revit.
• Support the preparation of drawings, layouts, and schedules from BIM models.
• Help update models based on design revisions and coordination feedback.
• Participate in model coordination and clash detection processes under supervision.
• Assist in maintaining organized BIM files, documentation, and version control.
• Support the team in preparing shop drawings and basic quantity take-offs.
• Attend coordination meetings and take notes when required.
• Follow company BIM standards and project guidelines.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a Diploma or Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Building Services Engineering, or a related field.
• Basic knowledge of Autodesk Revit is preferred.
• Understanding of MEP systems is an advantage.
• Familiarity with AutoCAD or other design software is a plus.
• Ability to work in a team environment and follow instructions.

Job Summary

Develop and produce accurate 2D shop drawings and BIM models following project standards. Maintain documentation and ensure compliance with company procedures under project management supervision.

Responsibilities

• Produce 2D shop drawings from BIM models accurately, ensuring compliance with Project or Client Drafting Standards and meeting submission schedules
• Maintain organized records of issued and received models, drawings, Clash Reports, and RFIs
• Manage BIM Register in accordance with company ISO Standards and Procedures, ensuring timely completion of drawings
• Perform regular backups and housekeeping of drawing directories to maintain data integrity
• Develop technical plans, sections, details, and 2D/3D schematic diagrams using AutoCAD and in-house software
• Coordinate with other trades and services to ensure shop drawings are accurate in form, fit, and function for 2D/3D submissions
• Ensure full compliance with company Shop Drawings Standard Operating Procedures and contractual design provisions
• Generate clash reports based on provided Matrix data
• Execute assigned tasks under the supervision of the Project Manager

Preferred competencies and qualifications

• Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or related disciplines
• Proficient in Revit and AutoCAD 2D software applications
• Knowledge of Isometric drawings, LOD 350, and Plant 3D software is advantageous
• Demonstrate initiative and ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team
• Exhibit strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills

The Role

As Project Engineer Intern, you will work directly with our Project and Site Management team to support daily construction operations. Your mission is ensuring that work are carried out efficiently and with good quality and safety and to identify inefficiencies and deploy smart solutions that drive productivity.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and update detailed project micro-schedules for 2-week and 1-month look-ahead periods to support proactive project planning
• Prepare, monitor, and update regular project control reports to track progress and inform decision-making
• Analyze approved layout and schematic drawings to prepare and revise Material Take Off (MTO) documents, ensuring alignment with client approvals
• Communicate updated MTO information to project teams to secure material availability and coordinate manpower resources effectively
• Participate actively in daily toolbox talks, lead PTT sessions, and coordination meetings to facilitate site communication and safety compliance
• Provide timely progress updates, plans, and challenge reports to Project Managers to support project oversight
• Support engineering detailing activities for site teams and subcontractors, managing their work progress to meet project requirements
• Monitor procurement status and submit monthly progress claims to maintain accurate financial tracking
• Record additional works and variation orders, collaborating with the proposal team to prepare variation claims for approval
• Manage time effectively to meet project deadlines and support fast-paced construction environments

Requirements

• Education: Currently pursuing a diploma/degree in Civil, Chemical, Environmental or Mechanical Engineering.
