Role Overview
We are seeking a Business Development Specialist to drive client acquisition and revenue growth within the construction sector, with a strong focus on Chinese-speaking clients and networks.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify, develop, and close new business opportunities in the construction industry (contractors, developers, consultants, suppliers).
- Build and manage relationships with Chinese-speaking clients; act as the main commercial contact.
- Manage full sales cycle: lead generation, qualification, proposal, negotiation, and closing.
- Prepare quotations, tenders, and commercial proposals.
- Coordinate with internal teams to ensure smooth execution and billing.
- Track market trends and competitor activity to refine strategy.
- Maintain pipeline, forecast, and report performance metrics.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
- 2–5+ years of business development / sales experience in construction.
- Proven track record in B2B sales and client management.
- Fluent in Mandarin (spoken and written) and English.
- Strong negotiation and commercial skills.
- Ability to work independently and drive results.
Preferred
- Experience working with Chinese clients or enterprises.
- Familiarity or established network within Fujian (China) business communities is an advantage.
- Exposure to cross-border projects or regional accounts especially with North Asia experience will be advantageous
