Primary Job Responsibilities:
● Perform quality inspections of incoming, in-process, and finished products according to quality procedures and instructions.
● Verify that the inspected parts/materials, including packaging and labelling, meet specifications.
● Prepare quality records after inspection completion. Ensure that the records are accurate and traceable.
● Perform a variety of inspection methods and techniques such as visual inspection, dimensional measurements, and functional testing to determine the quality of products and component parts.
● Able to identify recurring quality issues and support the implementation of improvement measures.
● Maintain and clean QC equipment and instruments (i.e., microscope, gauges).
● Complies with all Controlled Environment Room (CER) protocol, including personal hygiene, gowning, and safety procedures.
● Participate in non-conformance materials and MRB activities related to QC inspection aspects.
Secondary Job Responsibilities:
● Assist QC Executive on maintaining documentation.
● Completes preventive maintenance requirements.
● Observes equipment in operation to troubleshoot problems and ensure the proper functioning of the machines.
● Removes defective components and replaces them with new ones.
● Maintains inventory of spare parts for equipment.
● Ensures all mechanical/electrical equipment supporting the facility is maintained and functioning properly.
● Schedules any servicing that is required by 3rdparty to maintain facility requirements.
● Ensures all documentation and service reports are completed and given to document control.
● Any other tasks or projects that are being assigned by the immediate supervisor, as and when required.
Minimum Education Required:
● GCE "N" level or Higher
● SPM Level or Higher
● Diploma Preferred
Additional Skills Required:
● Working knowledge of current industry practices, SOP and cleanroom procedures.
● Basic Computer Skills.
● Able to communicate, both verbal and written, effectively and clearly.
● Able to read and follow SOP or any required documents needed to carry out inspection.
● Able to work independently with minimal supervision.
● Able to work with assigned equipment and to describe mechanical problems as they arise.
Minimum Experience:
● A minimum of one year's experience as a quality control inspector or equivalent in the medical device, pharmaceutical, or life sciences industries.
● Working knowledge of quality control standard test/inspection tools, equipment, and sampling techniques/plans.
