Summary / Purpose of Position:

Collaborate with traders and researchers to design, develop, test, and support proprietary trading platform to capture opportunities in electronic capital markets.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities for this Position:

- Build and maintain robust, scalable, and low latency trading software

- Participate in collaborative discussions and problem solving with multiple stakeholders

- Help improve and evolve software design and maintenance workflows and practices

- Mentor team members and improve knowledge acquisition and sharing

Qualifications, Skills and Knowledge Required:

- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a STEP/STEM field such as computer science, engineering, mathematics, or physics.

- Expert knowledge of modern C++

- Working knowledge of Python

- Experience with test driven development and continuous integration

- Experience developing software for Linux

- Understanding of software design principles and algorithmic complexity

- Desire to solve complex and novel problems in a collaborative environment

- Strong sense of ownership and urgency

- Ability to communicate clearly with stakeholders

- Logical problem solver with the ability to quickly understand new and complex concepts

Job Description:

· Sales Generation: Contribute to the team revenue in all aspects of the sales process, including lead generation, customer inquiries, order processing, and post-sales support.

· Customer Relationship Management: Maintain strong relationships with existing and potential customers by providing prompt and accurate information, addressing queries and concerns, and ensuring customer satisfaction.

· Proposal and Quotation Preparation: create sales proposals and quotations, ensuring accuracy, and timely delivery to customers.

· Market Research: Conduct research on market trends, competitors, and customer needs to identify potential sales opportunities and develop effective sales strategies.

· Trade Shows and Events: Assist in the planning, coordination, and execution of trade shows, industry events, and customer demonstrations to promote products and services.

· Administrative Tasks: Perform various administrative tasks, including maintaining sales records, preparing sales documentation, managing calendars, and coordinating meetings and appointments.

· Any other ad-hoc duties as assigned.

Requirements:

· Diploma/NITEC or Certifications in relevant fields.

· Candidate with experience in the marine or similar industry is preferred.

· Industry Technical Knowledge: Understanding of the marine or similar industry, including knowledge of similar products, services, market trends, and customer needs.

· Communication Skills: Good verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with customers, colleagues, and stakeholders at all levels.

· Organization and Attention to Detail: Good organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
