We are looking for an Application Support Engineer for one of our clients here in Singapore. Your scope is as follow:

Key Responsibilities:

• Batch Job Management - monitor the end-of-day batch and ensure that it starts on the prescribed time, perform first level analysis if there’s failure, perform recovery and involve other stakeholders when necessary. Do a milestone check of the critical jobs to ensure they complete on time and do the proper escalation if there’s any delay.
• Application System and Infrastructure Monitoring – constantly monitor the alerts from the monitoring tool that tells whether an application, server, website, service, disk space or other system resources are having issue and inform the support persons if necessary.
• Service Requests and User Support – handling of user requests such as running of one time job, scheduling of new job, copying and resending of file, troubleshooting transactional problem and involving other experts if necessary.
• Software Release Support – support the regular release of new software from development teams by stopping and resuming the batch when necessary and ensuring all systems are available for user sanity testing after release deployment.
• System Patch and Upgrade Support – support the regular third-party system upgrade and patches and minimize any disruption.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• If you have 2 plus years of experience in TWS (Tivoli Dynamic Works Console), this is desirable; else if you have experience in a production support role, that is the second preferred work experience for this position.
• Good knowledge of Unix Script & Shell Scripting.
• Knowledge of the requirements of IT production (Banking System).
• Note: This is a shift role, two shifts are as 7 am - 3 pm and 8 am - 4 pm SGT, and the person may be asked to work on weekend shifts too.

Job Responsibilities:

·     Responsiblefor Huawei optical transmission networking products after-sales support forSDH/HMSTP/DWDM equipment such as site survey, installation, planning,commissioning, migration and maintenance.

·   Responsiblefor solution review and provide low level network solution design to internaland external stakeholders.

·   Responsiblefor collaboration with cross-functional teams, including customers, accountteam, project management office, product technical sales, and other deliverynetwork engineers, to ensure seamless system functionality from on-site survey,supervise, testing, commissioning and maintenance of network, and technicalproposal of new network presales stage.

·   Responsiblefor issues or outages recovery in the live customer network. Carry out postinvestigation and communicate with stake holders for root causes with finalreport.

·   Participate innecessary technical meetings pertaining to operators, internal staff or itsassociated customers.

·   Required towork as a team with regional/HQ or Singapore-based technical teams fortransmission projects.

·   Required toprovide high-quality technical proposals focusing on network reliability,latency optimization, and capacity scaling

·   Require towork under minimum supervision to complete tasks assigned.

·   Required topresent technical solutions professionally and conduct technical training forchannel partners and customers on DWDM/OTN technologies.

·   To collaborate and communicate directly with Chinese speaking officers, stakeholders, counterparts, and customers in China HQ team

Job Requirements:

·       Possess a minimum of Bachelor Degree in any field.

·       Minimum 4 years of working experience in optical transmission project implementation,network planning & design, migration and maintenance experience.

·       In-depth knowledge in SDH, DWDM, OTN, ROADM, ASON, OTDR, BERT, OSNR,RFC2544, Network management system, Fiber Doctor, Optical Doctor, 400G C+L, MS-OTN,OXC, preferably with expertise in Huawei-specific OptiX OSN & OptiXtransplatforms, including NCE-T / Navigator / ON Toolkit management software.

·       Requires ability to handle end-to-end low / medium / high risk networkchange implementation, including solution develop, preparing Method ofProcedure, solution implementation and service verification.

·       Hands-on experience in high-capacity OCh link commissioning, ASONnetwork deployment, optical power tuning and migration of legacy services.

·       Requires to work on night time for service migration / cutover operationto minimize the traffic impact on customer network.

·       Outstanding communication and presentation skills.

·       Ability to manage and guide on-site subcontractor team for equipmentinstallation and fiber patching work.

·       Ability to manage and liaise with different stakeholders includinginternal team and external customer.

·       Self-initiative to take the responsibility of task and learn newproducts/technologies.

• Develop and continuously iterate the data platform
