• Collaborate with staff, department heads, and volunteers to identify staffing needs and execute recruitment, selection, and onboarding processes that improve organizational performance
• Manage job postings, screen resumes, conduct interviews and reference checks, and facilitate orientation and offboarding to ensure smooth transitions for new hires and departures
• Maintain accurate and current HR records for employees and volunteers, including departmental budget tracking
• Assist in reviewing, developing, and implementing HR policies and procedures to ensure compliance and promote an ethical work environment
• Partner with department heads to define job requirements and develop clear, engaging job descriptions
• Provide employees and managers with guidance on HR policies, performance reviews, and development plans to support workforce effectiveness
• Plan and coordinate team cohesion activities, events, and learning and development programs aligned with organizational goals
• Design, develop, and implement targeted learning and development programs that address organizational and individual volunteer/employee needs
• Arrange logistics and manage financial processes for onsite and offsite training sessions and events
• Evaluate training quality and effectiveness by collecting and analyzing job evaluations, session feedback, and surveys
• Develop, manage, and execute projects or duties assigned by supervisors or the Executive Director

Preferred competencies and qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Human Resource, Business Administration, or related field
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills demonstrated through effective collaboration and guidance
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion
• Passion for continuous learning and staying updated with HR industry trends and developments
• 2 to 3 years of relevant experience is an advantage
