Project Overview

A major contract to design and construct the onshore connecting infrastructure for a highly strategic, large-scale LNG Terminal and Floating Storage and Regasification Unit (FSRU) project in Singapore.

We are seeking a highly versatile and strategic Engineering Manager to lead this onshore infrastructure package. The core mandate of this role is to act as the central technical bridge between the project execution site in Singapore (including local stakeholders and the client) and our internal engineering and design hubs based overseas.

Key Responsibilities

• Cross-Border Engineering Leadership: Take full ownership of the engineering deliverables for the onshore connecting infrastructure, effectively directing, controlling, and mentoring the internal overseas engineering team from the Singapore project office.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil, Structural, Mechanical, or Marine Engineering.

• Experience: Minimum of 10-15 years of engineering management experience, specifically in heavy civil, marine infrastructure, or oil & gas terminal projects (e.g., jetties, pipelines, receiving facilities).

• Cross-Border Management: Proven track record of managing remote engineering teams or working in a highly matrixed, international organization. Experience controlling overseas design hubs while executing projects in Singapore is highly advantageous.

• Plan, organize, and supervise on-site contractors performing planned and ad-hoc maintenance on lifts, dumbwaiters, and fire protection systems to ensure safety and regulatory compliance
• Validate and prepare e-gate passes for waste disposal and collection of general waste, metal, and scrap materials to comply with environmental regulations
• Manage maintenance of building facilities including lifts, site and office maintenance, electrical systems, security systems (CCTV and card access), and AMCV to ensure continuous operational safety

Required competencies and certifications

• Fire Safety Manager certification
• Work At Height certification

Preferred competencies and qualifications

• Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Building Services, or related discipline
• 3 to 5 years supervisory experience in building, mechanical, and electrical system maintenance
• Working knowledge of Singapore regulatory and compliance requirements including BCA, SCDF, NEA, WSH, and familiarity with Fire Code
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
• Strong project management, supervisory, interpersonal, and communication skills
• Ability to work independently, proactively, adapt to changing conditions, and perform well under pressure

Our client is an established civil engineering contractor involved in large-scale infrastructure and transport development projects in Singapore. With ongoing project expansion and increasing adoption of digital construction practices, they are seeking an Assistant Manager (BIM Technology & Digitalization) to support BIM implementation and digital engineering initiatives across project teams. They are located in the (North) – easily accessible.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee BIM implementation for infrastructure and construction projects in accordance with BIM Execution Plan (BEP) and project digital delivery requirements.

• Coordinate multidisciplinary BIM models covering civil, structural, architectural, and M&E trades.

• Perform model coordination and clash detection using BIM platforms to identify design conflicts.

• Conduct technical drawing screening and model verification against engineering specifications.

• Implement digital construction workflows including 4D planning and model-based documentation.

• Support integration of M&E trade coordination within BIM environments.

• Maintain BIM templates, object libraries, and project modelling standards.

• Facilitate BIM coordination with consultants, contractors, and project teams through a Common Data Environment (CDE) platform.

• Support temporary works modelling and structural propping arrangements within digital construction models.

Requirements:

• Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or M&E Engineering.

• Minimum 5 years of manager in BIM technology or digital engineering experience within construction or infrastructure projects.

• Experience supervising or guiding BIM engineers and modelling teams.

• Hands-on experience with Autodesk Revit, Navisworks, and BIM coordination tools.

• Must be strong with BIM execution planning, digital construction workflows, and project model coordination.

• Exposure to M&E trade modelling and construction drawing review.

• Experience supporting digitalisation initiatives within A1 main contractor or large infrastructure projects preferred.

• Senior Engineers may be considered for a Managerial level
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to think critically and innovate
• Strong teamwork and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
• Familiarity with software development methodologies, such as Agile, and proficiency in using relevant tools and technologies
