About the Role

We are looking for a seasoned DevOps Engineer with deep expertise in SHIP-HATS (Secure Hybrid Integration Pipeline – Hive Agile Testing Solutions). You will play a pivotal role in designing, implementing, and maintaining Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) pipelines for government digital services, ensuring compliance with the Singapore Government's security and engineering standards.

Key Responsibilities

·       As the go-to subject matter expert on SHIP-HATS, you will lead the end-to-end design and implementation of CI/CD pipelines on SHIP-HATS, working closely with development teams across multiple applications teams to onboard them onto the platform. This includes architecting scalable and secure pipeline workflows that meet IM8 compliance requirements and government security policies, and leWorkveraging tooling such as GitLab, Fortify, SonarQube, Nexus IQ, and associated components.

·       You will drive DevSecOps best practices across teams by embedding automated security scanning, code quality checks, and vulnerability assessments into the software delivery lifecycle.

·       Beyond pipeline management, you will provide technical guidance to agency stakeholders, translating complex infrastructure requirements into practical, maintainable solutions.

Requirements

• The ideal candidate has at least 5 years of hands-on DevOps experience, with a significant portion spent working with SHIP-HATS in a Singapore Government context.

• Proficiency in GitLab CI/CD, container orchestration (Kubernetes, Docker), and infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform or Ansible is required.

• Experience with the Government Commercial Cloud (GCC) environment, including Azure, is highly desirable, and familiarity with deployment practices for Dynamics 365, .NET applications, and ESRI ArcGIS web applications will be an added advantage.

• You should be comfortable working with cross-functional teams and able to communicate technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

• Familiarity with agile delivery methodologies and government ICT procurement processes will be an advantage.

• A relevant degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred, though equivalent practical experience will be considered.

• Troubleshoot workflow failures, integration issues, and AI response inconsistencies across RPA, LLMs, and central platforms.
• Implement continuous improvement practices to enhance system resilience, performance, and user adoption.
• Support lifecycle management activities including upgrades, patching coordination, and documentation updates.
• Maintain technical documentation, solution architecture diagrams, and operational runbooks to support maintainability and knowledge transfer.

What are we looking for?

• Experience with UiPath and/or Power Automate development
• Familiarity with API integrations and system-to-system orchestration
• Working knowledge of AI/LLMs and prompt engineering fundamentals
• Understanding of automation lifecycle management and DevOps principles
• At least 2 years of software engineering or automation development experience
• Experience delivering end-to-end automation solutions in enterprise or Government environments
• Exposure to AI-enabled automation and use cases
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
• Ability to work independently while collaborating across multidisciplinary teams
• Good documentation and communication skills
• Structured and methodical approach to workflow design
• UiPath Certified RPA Associate or Advanced RPA Developer certification
• Microsoft Power Platform Developer or Power Automate certification
• Experience integrating LLMs via Azure OpenAI, AWS Bedrock, or equivalent enterprise AI platforms
• Exposure to Government or secure on-premise deployment environments
• Familiarity with AI governance, data protection, or secure SDLC practices in regulated environments
• Basic knowledge of containerisation or lightweight model hosting (e.g., Docker-based SLM deployment)
