Overview
A leading organisation in the payments and financial services sector is seeking a Senior Network Engineer to join its Singapore team. Supporting a complex and business-critical technology environment, this role will be responsible for designing, implementing and maintaining secure, resilient network infrastructure that underpins payment and transfer services across the organisation. This is an opportunity to take a hands-on technical leadership role, working across a multi-vendor network landscape while mentoring engineers and driving network modernisation initiatives.
Responsibilities
As the Senior Network Engineer, you will oversee the delivery and ongoing support of enterprise network infrastructure, ensuring high levels of performance, availability and security. You will design and implement network solutions across LAN, WAN and cloud-connected environments, working closely with internal stakeholders to understand business and technical requirements. The role includes managing network technologies such as SD-WAN, MPLS, VPN connectivity, firewalls, load balancers and DNS platforms, while ensuring all changes are delivered in line with established governance and change management processes. You will also lead proof-of-concept activities, support technology refresh initiatives, maintain operational documentation and provide technical guidance to junior engineers. Participation in a rotational standby support roster is required.
Requirements
You possess a Diploma or Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related discipline, together with proven experience in network engineering within medium to large-scale enterprise environments. You have strong expertise across core networking technologies including routing, switching, network security and load balancing, with hands-on experience supporting multi-vendor infrastructure. Exposure to Cisco Nexus and Catalyst platforms, Cisco ACI, and leading firewall technologies such as Check Point, Palo Alto and Fortinet will be highly valued. Professional certifications such as CCNP and relevant firewall certifications are advantageous. The successful candidate will demonstrate strong troubleshooting capabilities, sound understanding of infrastructure operations and governance, and the ability to work effectively with both technical and business stakeholders. Experience delivering large-scale network initiatives within the payments or financial services industry is a plus.
