Aramco Trading Singapore (ATS) is the largest subsidiary out of the kingdom and is actively trading within the region and globally across all products since 2018.
The Function
Globally headed in Dhahran, Saudi Arabia,the IT department helps to support all departments within the Aramco Tradingentities with troubleshooting of any system issues.
We are seeking a Senior SAP Finance expert with over 10 years ofextensive experience to lead a critical transformation initiative within ourGlobal Trading Company. This is a high-visibility role that sits at theintersection of Finance, IT, and Energy Trading.
The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in SAP Finance (FI/CO)and energy trading processes, with a proven track record of optimizing complexfinance ecosystems. You will be responsible for auditing existing financeprocesses, identifying systemic gaps, and designing robust improvements thatalign with global trading company standards. Specifically, your focus will beon streamlining integration points and enhancing period-end closing activitiesto ensure accuracy, efficiency, and compliance.
In addition to this strategic mandate, you will continue to supportday-to-day finance operations within ATS, ensuring business continuity whiledriving long-term architectural improvements.
Key Accountabilities
1. Strategic Finance Process Optimization & Architecture
· Conduct a comprehensive review of existingfinance processes implemented in SAP, with a specific focus on Energy Tradingmodules and General Ledger functionalities.
· Identify functional gaps, inefficiencies, andrisks in current workflows, particularly concerning system integrations anddata flow between trading platforms and SAP.
· Design and recommend architectural improvementsthat align with global standards for trading companies, ensuring scalability,auditability, and operational excellence.
· Lead the redesign of period-end closingprocesses, implementing best practices to reduce close cycles, improveaccuracy, and enhance reporting timeliness.
2. Integration & System Alignment
· Evaluate and enhance integration architecturesbetween SAP Finance, Energy Trading Systems, and other enterprise applications.
· Ensure seamless data integrity andsynchronization across systems, minimizing manual interventions andreconciliation efforts.
· Collaborate with IT solution architects totranslate business requirements into technical specifications for systemenhancements or new implementations.
3. Cross-Functional Collaboration & Leadership
· Serve as the primary subject matter expert (SME)bridging ATC Global Finance, ATS Day-to-Day Finance, and IT teams.
· Partner with Global Finance leadership to ensurethat all proposed changes support broader organizational goals and regulatorycompliance.
· Mentor junior finance systems analysts andprovide guidance to business users on best practices for SAP Finance usage.
4. Ongoing Finance Support (ATS)
· Provide continued support for day-to-day finance operations within ATS, ensuring stability and reliability during the transformation period.
· Hve experience in supporting for settlement (AP/AR), treasury, GL, financial reporting or credit management which are essential for this job.
· Assist in resolving complex transactionalissues, system errors, or user access problems as they arise.
· Train new employees about commodity management modules
Requirements
Education:
o Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Information Systems, orrelated field. Master’s degree or relevant certifications (e.g., CPA, CMA, SAPCertification) preferred.
Experience:
o 10+ years of professional experience in SAPFinance (FI/CO), with a significant portion dedicated to architecture, processdesign, or system implementation.
o Minimum 5 - 7 years of hands-on experiencein Energy Trading processes, including physical and financialtrading, risk management, and commodity accounting.
o Proven track record of leading large-scale finance transformation projects in a global trading or multinational environment.
o Expertise in configuration and implementation of Financial Accounting (FI) and Managerial Accounting (CO).
o Working knowledge of Group Reporting, SAC Planning, Receivables Management, and Document Reporting and Compliance.
o Experience in integration with SAP Applicationareas, preferably Oil and Gas, such as TSW, SD, MM, HR & Payroll, and LE.
Technical Skills:
o Deep expertise in SAP ECC or S/4HANA Finance.
o Strong understanding of integration technologies(Integration Suite, PI/PO, CPI, RFCs, BAPIs) and data migration tools.
o Proficiency in period-end closing cycles,month-end/year-end reporting, and intercompany transactions.
Soft Skills:
o Exceptional stakeholder management skills, withthe ability to influence senior leadership across Finance and IT.
o Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities,with a keen eye for detail and process optimization.
o Excellent communication skills, capable oftranslating complex technical concepts into business-value propositions.
o Excellent interpersonal skills in areas such asteamwork, facilitation, and negotiation
o Strong written, verbal communication andpresentation skills; ability to present and discuss strategies and technicalinformation in a manner that establishes rapport, persuades others, andestablishes understanding for technical and non-technical audiences
