Position Summary

Responsible for the selection, qualification, application, failure analysis and documentation management of components, materials and chemicals together with their supplier evaluation.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Classify, characterize, and manage company-used electronic components, parts, materials, and chemicals as part of an integrated material library.

Key Roles & Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end supplier quality performance, including qualification, onboarding, monitoring, and continuous improvement across assigned commodity or suppliers.
• Act as the primary quality interface between suppliers and internal teams including Engineering, Procurement, Operations, and R&D.
• Define and deploy robust supplier quality strategies aligned with business goals, focusing on risk mitigation, cost of poor quality (COPQ) reduction, and supply continuity.

This is an individual contribution role as a Plating Process Control Engineer in manufacturing engineering operations responsible for monitoring and controlling plating processes to ensure quality and yield targets while implementing process improvements and optimization initiatives. The role encompasses managing plating bath chemistry and refresh schedules, troubleshooting process deviations, conducting statistical analysis to support process changes, and ensuring compliance with contamination control procedures. The engineer is also expected to leverage data analytics and machine learning techniques to establish linkages between Key Process Input Variables (KPIVs) and Key Process Output Variables (KPOVs), enabling predictive process control and data-driven decision making. Key technical competencies include understanding electroplating principles and chemistry, knowledge of semiconductor manufacturing processes, experience with process control systems and data analysis, and familiarity with cleanroom operations and safety protocols. Operational Core Responsibilities

1. Oversee and ensure effective execution of rooftop solar maintenance activities (planned and unplanned) in line with contractual scope of work, service level agreements (SLA), and compliance to SOPs.

2. Coordinate annual and monthly maintenance planning, aligning manpower, site access, and third-party support schedules.

3. Provide on-site technical leadership in fault diagnosis and troubleshooting. Guide resolution based on root cause rather than symptoms.

4. Coordinate with Customer Service and internal teams to ensure accurate and timely communication of maintenance outcomes for effective client reporting and service continuity.

5. Review and verify site reports, inspection checklists, photos, and test records submitted by Technicians and Engineers. Ensure proper documentation for internal reference and client reporting.

7. Oversee inventory planning and availability of spare parts, tools, and equipment required for ongoing operations; ensure stock readiness to minimize service disruptions and support operational continuity.

3. Identify recurring issues or workflow inefficiencies. Recommend updates to checklists, SOPs, or job plans based on field feedback and lessons learned.

4. Provide technical input and documentation support for equipment failure investigations, including photo records, test results, and historical data.

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent from a recognized institution.

• Possess valid CIDB Green Card and Working at Height certification.
