We are seeking an Internal Control intern to join our General Management Department and play a pivotal role to help drive governance, risk and control excellence across our group of companies global.

This isn't a typical administrative internship; you will be tasked with learning the "blueprints" of our organization. Your journey will begin with a deep dive into our internal controls and compliance standards, followed by rotations across key departments to audit and document operational workflows.

Upon successful completion of this internship is designed to lead into a permanent role as an Internal Control Business Partner, where you will help maintain our HQ standards and scale them across our global subsidiaries.

Job Responsibilities

• Study and internalize the company's current policy framework and legal requirements to identify areas for alignment.
• Assist in drafting and refining Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) that ensure departmental tasks meet both legal and group-level compliance.
• Help build a centralised library of procedures intended for future implementation across global subsidiaries.
• Identify opportunities where AI or digital automation can be applied to current workflows to improve speed, accuracy, or resource management.
• Conduct rotations within different departments to shadow daily tasks and map out actual operational processes.
• Support the General Management Department in special projects related to internal governance and organizational scaling.

Job Requirements

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business Administration, Management, Law, or a related field.
• Strong problem-solving capabilities with a keen eye for detail and a "process-first" mindset.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to document complex procedures clearly and concisely.
• Exceptional time management abilities to handle multiple priorities across different departments.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite. A proactive interest in AI applications for business (e.g., automation, generative tools for research/documentation) is highly desirable.

We are assisting our client, a well-established family office to look for a seasoned Internal Control Specialist to strengthen our risk governance framework — with a particular focus on financial processes, payment controls, and construction-related operations. This role sits at the intersection of finance, compliance, and business operations, acting as the guardian of internal controls across key workflows.

Key Responsibilities

• Review and assess the adequacy and effectiveness of existing internal control policies, particularly in finance and payment approval workflows and construction projects.

• Design, enhance and implement internal control procedures to ensure compliant, efficient and well-governed operation.

• Organize internal control assessments and special reviews in key areas, issue professional reports, provide practical remediation recommendations and follow through to ensure closure.

• Develop audit methodologies, conduct risk assessments, and manage end-to-end audit engagements.

• Conduct periodic audits of operational processes — especially in construction projects — to verify compliance with internal policies and identify control gaps.

• Perform year-end or ad-hoc reviews to ensure day-to-day operations align with established controls.

• Help document and update control manuals, process maps, and risk matrices to make controls scalable and repeatable.

• Promote internal control culture by delivering training, communications and tool-based resolutions to enhance front-line teams’ risk and compliance awareness.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or above, ideally in accounting, finance, auditing, risk management or a related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years in internal audit or control roles within a corporate environment (in-house), with prior Big Four audit background.
• Professional qualifications: CPA (HKICPA/CPA Australia/ACCA/AICPA)
• Experience at top tier tech-driven, fast-paced organizations is highly preferred.
• Deep understanding of internal control frameworks, especially payment authorization cycles and approval workflows in financial controls.
• Proven ability to assess operational controls in construction or infrastructure projects.
• Outstanding communication skills, with strong proficiency in English, Mandarin, and Cantonese, are required to effectively engage with clients and stakeholders across relevant markets.

Responsibilities:

- Compliance Review of Existing / New Products and Services, and outsourcing management.

- Ensure Card Centre Procedure & Policy are timely updated in accordance with Regulatory / HQ requirement.

- Liaise with external, internal and HQ auditors. Monitor progress on audit points raised.

- Involve in Business Continuity Plan, Business Impact Analysis and Document Management etc.

- Review and improve operation risk management of Card Centre.

- Undertake Ad-hoc assignment.

Job Description

QUALITY IN PROCESS

• Monitor and analyze plant yield performance; identify trends, gaps, and opportunities for improvements
• Daily non-conformance management: Lead root cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions (RCA / CAPA) for product and process non-conformances
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Engineering, Operations, Production, and R&D) to implement effective quality solutions
• Apply statistical analysis tools (SPC, DOE, regression, hypothesis testing, etc.) to evaluate process and product data
• Support and maintain the Quality Management System (QMS) in compliance with industry standards (ISO/Medical, as applicable)
• Drive continuous improvement projects to enhance process capability, yield, and customer satisfaction
• Conduct line monthly audit with Manufacturing and Process
• Prepare and present reports, metrics, and findings to management and stakeholders

CONTINUOUS IMPROVEMENT

• When there are major defects, leverage the QRQC (Quick response quality control) / PDCA methodology to understand the root cause and initiate preventive actions
• Propose and drive Projects for productivity / process improvement / PPM improvement with cross-functional involvement

CUSTOMER SATISFACTION / EXTERNAL AUDIT

• Act as conduit between Customer Quality and Internal stakeholders. Investigate customer-reported issues, coordinate root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions using problem-solving tools
• Support supplier / customer quality in audits

Job requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial) or equivalent
• Minimum 2–3 years of experience in Quality Engineering or similar role

Preferred competencies and qualifications

• Proactive communication and coordination skills to facilitate cross-departmental collaboration and project execution
• Strong learning ability, self-drive, and potential for management roles
• Fluent spoken English to ensure clear communication in a diverse workplace
