Requirement

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related technical discipline.
• Up to 2 years of experience or relevant internships in software development, with exposure to both front-end and back-end work
• Familiarity with modern front-end frameworks and web technologies, particularly React, HTML5, CSS, and JavaScript.
• Working knowledge of at least one back-end language and framework; experience with Python (FastAPI, Django, or Flask) is preferred.
• Basic understanding of relational databases (e.g. PostgreSQL) and REST API design.
• Basic understanding of responsive and cross-browser compatible design.
• Exposure to version control (Git), containerisation (e.g. Docker), or cloud services (e.g. AWS) is a plus.
• Strong desire to learn, adapt, and grow within a collaborative team environment.
• Good communication and problem-solving skills.
• Experience or interest in the maritime sector or related fields is beneficial but not required.

We are looking for a Full Stack Developer with foundational to intermediate AI/ML knowledge to help build intelligent , scalable software applications with AI features.

You will collaborate with software teams in projects delivered using either Waterfall or Agile methodologies, depending on business/client requirements

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain full stack web applications (frontend and backend)
• Integrate pre-built or internally developed AI/ML models into applications
• Build and consume RESTful APIs and backend services
• Support AI feature development such as chatbots, recommendation systems, or automation testing tools
• Work with data scientists to test and deploy machine learning models
• Create responsive UI components and improve user experience
• Perform debugging, testing, and code optimization

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Backend development experience with: Java Spring Boot, Node.js, Python (Flask/Fast API), or similar
• Basic understanding of databases: SQL (PostgreSQL/MySQL) or NoSQL (MongoDB)
• Foundational knowledge of AI/ML concepts
• Supervised/unsupervised learning
• Model inference vs training
• Exposure to AI tools/frameworks (academic or project-based experience acceptable):TensorFlow, Py Torch
• Familiarity with GitLab, Kubernetes, Jira

Backend Java  API

 Design develop and maintain RESTful APIs using Java eg Spring Boot  Spring MVC
 Implement business logic data access layers and integrations with internal and external services
 Ensure API performance scalability security and reliability
 Write clean maintainable and welltested backend code unit and integration tests
 Participate in API design reviews and contribute to technical architecture decisions

 Frontend React

 Develop and maintain responsive web applications using Reactjs
 Consume REST APIs and manage application state effectively
 Build reusable UI components and ensure consistent user experience
 Collaborate with UXUI designers to translate designs into functional interfaces
 Optimize frontend performance and browser compatibility

 General  CrossFunctional

 Work in an AgileScrum environment participating in sprint planning standups and retrospectives
 Collaborate with DevOps and QA teams to support CICD pipelines and testing processes
 Troubleshoot debug and resolve production issues
 Contribute to code reviews and promote best engineering practices
 Document APIs system design and technical solutions

Technical Skills

 Strong experience with Java Java 8 preferably Spring Boot
 Solid understanding of RESTful API design and HTTP concepts
 Handson experience with Reactjs JavaScript ES6 HTML5 and CSS3
 Experience with SQL andor NoSQL databases eg PostgreSQL MySQL MongoDB
 Familiarity with authentication  authorization JWT OAuth2 etc
 Experience using Git and collaborating via pull requests
 Understanding of microservices architecture preferred
