Cost Planning & Pre‑Contract Services

• Oversee preparation of detailed cost estimates, benchmarking, and feasibility studies.
• Lead cost planning through concept, design, and pre‑construction stages.
• Challenge design solutions and propose alternatives to optimise cost, performance, and constructability in mission‑critical environments.

Procurement & Tender Management

• Develop and implement procurement strategies for CSA, MEP, and specialist systems (e.g. power, cooling, containment).
• Lead tender processes including tender documentation, evaluations, negotiations, and recommendations.
• Ensure commercial alignment across multiple contract packages and vendors.

Post‑Contract Cost Control

• Manage post‑contract activities including variations, change control, claims assessment, and cost reporting.
• Oversee contractor valuations and certify payments in line with contractual terms.
• Lead final account negotiations and project close‑out.

Stakeholder & Client Management

• Act as the primary commercial interface with clients, project teams, and key stakeholders.
• Present cost reports, forecasts, and commercial insights to senior stakeholders.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships, ensuring a high level of service delivery.

Data Centre / Technical Coordination

• Work closely with engineering teams to understand power, cooling, redundancy (Tier standards), and infrastructure requirements.
• Provide commercial oversight on critical systems including UPS, generators, chillers, CRAH/CRAC units, and structured cabling.
• Support alignment between design intent and cost efficiency in highly technical environments.

Team Leadership & Mentorship

• Lead and mentor Cost Managers and Assistant Cost Managers within the team.
• Review deliverables to ensure accuracy, consistency, and compliance with project standards.
• Support team development and capability building.

Governance & Risk Management

• Ensure compliance with internal governance, financial controls, and client reporting requirements.
• Identify cost risks early and develop mitigation strategies.
• Drive continuous improvement and knowledge sharing across data centre project

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Contract Manager to support the delivery of large-scale data centre / mission-critical developments. This role will be responsible for managing the full spectrum of contractual and commercial activities, ensuring that projects are delivered in line with contractual obligations, commercial strategy, and risk management protocols.

The successful candidate will play a key role in administering contracts, managing claims and variations, and supporting procurement and delivery teams across high-value CSA and MEP packages.

Key Responsibilities

Contract Administration & Governance

• Manage and administer contracts across the project lifecycle, ensuring compliance with agreed terms and conditions
• Oversee contract documentation, including subcontracts, amendments, and change orders
• Ensure adherence to contract frameworks (e.g., FIDIC, NEC, or bespoke client contracts)
• Provide guidance to project teams on contractual obligations, rights, and risk exposure

Commercial & Claims Management

• Lead the assessment and management of variations, claims, and disputes, particularly for MEP and specialist packages
• Review contractor submissions including EOT (Extension of Time), cost claims, and change requests
• Support negotiation and resolution of commercial issues with contractors and vendors
• Maintain detailed records to support commercial positions and dispute avoidance

Procurement & Package Management

• Support procurement activities including preparation of tender documentation, contract terms, and bid evaluations
• Provide input on contract strategy for key packages such as:
  • Mechanical systems (HVAC, cooling infrastructure)
  • Electrical systems (MV/LV, UPS, generators)
  • Specialist data centre equipment and installations
• Ensure contracts are aligned with project delivery strategies and timelines

Risk & Compliance Management

• Identify and manage contractual and commercial risks across the project
• Ensure all contractual processes meet internal governance and compliance standards
• Support risk mitigation strategies through proactive contract management and issue resolution

Stakeholder Management

• Act as a key point of contact for contractual matters between clients, consultants, contractors, and internal teams
• Work closely with project managers, cost managers, and engineering teams to ensure alignment
• Facilitate effective communication and escalation of contractual issues when required

Generative AI is the core engine of our business — the AI engineering team directly determines the ceiling of our product experience and the speed of our iteration.

The Role

We are looking for an experienced AI Engineering Manager to take full ownership of the AI engineering team — both its people and its technical quality. You will build and lead the team: hiring, developing, and motivating engineers while ensuring reliable delivery. You will also be the technical gatekeeper: reviewing key technical designs, upholding engineering standards, and identifying technical risks. We are looking for an engineering leader who is technically strong, an effective people manager, and accountable for both delivery outcomes and technical quality.

What You Will Own

People & Team

• Recruit, onboard, and retain AI/ML engineers; own the hiring pipeline, define the technical hiring bar, and participate in technical interviews for key roles

• Run regular 1:1s, performance reviews, and career development plans; build a culture of feedback and growth

• Design team structure, levels, and progression paths as the team scales

Technical Oversight

• Review key technical proposals and architecture designs for feasibility, scalability, and cost-effectiveness

• Define and maintain the team’s engineering quality standards (code review norms, testing requirements, documentation, release processes)

• Identify and manage technical risk and technical debt; make sound trade-offs between delivery timelines and technical quality

• Track the evolution of the AIGC landscape (LLMs, diffusion models and video generation, game AI, model deployment, inference optimization) and judge when and whether to adopt new technologies

• Stay deeply engaged on critical technical problems — able to roll up your sleeves and contribute to solution design and troubleshooting when needed

Delivery & Process

• Own sprint planning, prioritization, and delivery commitments; be accountable for the team’s delivery outcomes

• Establish and continuously improve engineering processes (planning cadence, incident response, on-call, release management)

• Track and report team health, delivery metrics, and system quality metrics to leadership

Stakeholder & Resource Management

• Act as the primary interface between the AI team and other functions (product, sales, leadership); manage expectations and shield the team from churn

• Own the team’s budget, tooling, and vendor relationships (cloud, GPU/compute, ML platforms)

• Translate business priorities into a clear, executable technical roadmap for the team

What We Are Looking For

Must have

• 8+ years in software/ML engineering, including 3+ years managing engineering teams (hiring, performance management, and delivery ownership)

• Hands-on experience building and operating ML/AI production systems, with solid technical depth: able to independently review architecture designs, read critical code, and make well-grounded technology choices

• A systematic understanding of AI/ML engineering (model training and deployment, data pipelines, inference services, evaluation systems), with practical exposure to LLM or generative model applications (video/image generation)

• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills; comfortable presenting to executives and saying no with data

• Experience establishing or improving engineering processes and quality standards in small-to-mid-sized teams

Nice to have

• Experience scaling a team from <10 to 20+ engineers

• Zero-to-one delivery experience with AIGC/GenAI products (video generation, AI games, evaluation pipelines, inference cost management, model deployment)

• Familiarity with the Singapore / APAC tech hiring market

• Still hands-on today — able to contribute to prototyping or critical code reviews when necessary
