Job Summary:

Drive innovation insights and ecosystem partnerships to support strategic initiatives across Japan and the APAC region.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct research on emerging trends and innovations across insurance, financial services, healthcare, aging, and childcare sectors in Singapore and APAC
• Analyze developments in AI, AI governance, FinTech, HealthTech, InsurTech, digital health, and data utilization
• Prepare reports and presentations for management and headquarters
• Build and maintain relationships with financial institutions, insurers, startups, technology companies, venture capital firms, accelerators, universities, and government agencies
• Perform market scanning and networking within Singapore’s innovation ecosystem to identify collaboration opportunities
• Participate in conferences, seminars, and industry events locally and overseas to gather insights and expand networks
• Support the planning and execution of internal and external events, including study visits and roundtable discussions
• Plan and promote Proof of Concept (PoC) initiatives with startups and external partners
• Coordinate with headquarters, group companies, and stakeholders on project activities
• Support project management, including tracking progress, resolving issues, and reporting outcomes
• Translate market insights into actionable recommendations to support business development and strategic initiatives
• Prepare management reports and strategic materials and present updates to stakeholders

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 to 5 years of experience in finance, FinTech, insurance, HealthTech, consulting, or innovation-related fields
• Business-level Japanese language proficiency (e.g., JLPT N1) is for liaising with Japanese-speaking clients and stakeholders
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders
• Strong analytical, research, and reporting capabilities
• Proven project management and multitasking abilities in a fast-paced environment
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (PowerPoint, Excel, Word) and familiarity with Copilot tools
• Experience in financial institutions or FinTech companies in areas such as digital payments, cross-border remittance, digital assets, or related fields is an added advantage
• Experience in insurance or InsurTech projects involving digital transformation, AI utilization, or customer experience enhancement is an added advantage
• Experience in healthcare or HealthTech sectors, including medical data, wellness, or elderly care solutions, is an added advantage
• Experience in consulting, strategy, or digital transformation projects across financial, insurance, or healthcare sectors is an added advantage
• Experience in innovation ecosystems, venture capital, or corporate venture capital (CVC), including startup scouting and PoC initiatives, is an added advantage

What you'll do:

As a Client Documentation Analyst – Private Banking, you will be immersed in a dynamic environment where your attention to detail and collaborative approach will be essential. Your day-to-day responsibilities will involve reviewing client documentation for both onboarding new accounts and conducting periodic reviews across Singaporean and Hong Kong portfolios. You will act as a dependable resource for front office teams by providing clear guidance on documentation requirements while also managing system updates related to account status.

• Conduct comprehensive documentation checks during onboarding and periodic reviews for accounts managed in Singapore and Hong Kong, including private banking clients, common service providers, IAMs, and BI accounts.
• Ensure all submitted documentation aligns with internal policies as well as local regulatory standards, maintaining rigorous control throughout the review process.
• Serve as a primary point of contact for new and existing accounts by addressing operational queries, facilitating onboarding processes, managing periodic reviews, and handling various service requests.
• Provide strong advisory support to front office teams regarding documentation requirements, especially when there are changes in client circumstances or complex cases arise.
• Manage end-to-end system updates related to onboarding and periodic reviews, including account blocking where necessary to ensure compliance.
• Oversee the management of client notifications such as welcome letters and account PMIE notifications, ensuring timely communication with clients.
• Organise and produce detailed statistical reports related to client accounts upon request from management or stakeholders.
• Review and process tax documentation thoroughly, performing completeness checks and reasonableness assessments on all submitted tax forms.
• Engage proactively in process improvement activities aimed at driving efficiency gains and enhancing overall service quality within the team.
• Participate actively in transformational change initiatives such as process automation, workflow mapping, collation of industry best practices, and support for global projects spanning Asia.

What you bring:

The ideal candidate for the Client Documentation Analyst – Private Banking role brings extensive experience from similar positions within the private banking industry. Your background should reflect deep familiarity with both local (Singapore/Hong Kong) regulatory frameworks governing account opening procedures as well as hands-on involvement with tax form processing. You are known for your meticulous approach when handling sensitive documents, always prioritising accuracy while remaining mindful of risk controls.

• At least five years of proven experience in a client-focused position within private banking, with significant exposure to client documentation processes as well as onboarding or periodic review activities.
• Comprehensive understanding of account documentation requirements specific to Singaporean or Hong Kong managed accounts within the private banking sector.
• Demonstrated familiarity with tax documentation procedures and related forms relevant to private banking clients.
• Exceptional attention to detail combined with a robust risk awareness mindset that ensures accuracy in all aspects of documentation review.
• Excellent communication skills enabling you to provide practical advisory support to front office staff and other key stakeholders across regions.
• Proactive attitude towards collaboration; comfortable working within teams that value knowledge sharing and collective problem-solving.
