About the Role

This is a dual-channel commercial role responsible for running both the sales and supply sides of Carousell Mobile Malaysia's online operations. Responsibilities

• Assess risks and determine the coverage position
• Provide preliminary evaluations to the underwriting team on new business opportunities and renewals
• First point of contact for assigned clients and business partners/intermediaries in service delivery
• Support daily operations in the underwriting department
• Co-ordinate with the underwriting team and intermediaries to identify potential business opportunities

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree ideally from a numerical/technical discipline such as Management/Business Studies, Accountancy, Engineering, Economics, Actuarial Studies, Mathematics, Statistics
• Prior exposure to non-life re/insurance industry is an added bonus
• Candidates without a degree but with relevant re/insurance experience are also welcome
• SCI certifications are required for this position; those without the necessary certifications will be provided with sponsorship
• Actual job title and underwriting line will entirely depend on the candidate's professional experience
• Salary will be commensurate with the candidate's experience and the salary range stated in this job posting is only a guide

• Assist to maintain consistent contact and provide Sales and Marketing for the stipulated Region.  
• Coordinate and support for tender preparation and submission. 
• Prepare report on Sales.
• Assist in marketing business within the stipulated Region. 
• Handle all incoming mail or issues that related with Sales/Marketing.
• Make regularly scheduled sales calls on all major customers within the region.
• Attend trade shows as required to benefit the business
• Assist the Sales/Marketing Manager to identify New Business Opportunities for development.
• Identify the New Trend of Services needed by the Client
• Analyze Market Segments
• Educate Sales Force to convey company objectives, and set up sales programs
• Develop effective presentations to create awareness for current market conditions, market trends and client’s needs.
• Maintain close contact with SGS affiliates on operations.
