Job Summary

The jobholder (2-year contract) supports the HOD in ensuring the efficiency and smooth operations of Partnerships Department by focusing on the management (including recognition) of volunteers and community partners. The candidate will spearhead Partnership’s Leadership Development Unit (LDU) where he/she helps to strategise, formulate and implement the leadership programmes, including the TUNAS BERSAMA M3 (TUNAS) programme. Overview
Reporting to the HR Director, you will be responsible for the execution and management of compensation policies and programmes to support the organisation’s overall human resource strategies. You will ensure that all procedures are implemented in accordance with cluster HR and organisational policies and guidelines.

Key Responsibilities

• Identify, monitor and review compensation and benefits programmes within assigned areas to ensure external competitiveness, internal equity, harmonious employee relations, and cost effectiveness.

• Participate in annual public sector market surveys and analyse both market and internal compensation data to support benchmarking and decision-making.

• Develop and execute communication strategies to effectively convey the organisation’s compensation philosophy, policies, and programmes.

• Oversee the implementation and administration of compensation matters within approved budgets for assigned areas.

• Work closely with the HR Director to anticipate challenges and provide practical and sustainable compensation solutions to support talent attraction and retention.

• Review, recommend and implement compensation policies and procedures aligned with organisational values, strategies, and cluster HR guidelines.

• Assess and propose updates to compensation policies to ensure continued relevance and market competitiveness.

• Drive process improvements and innovation in compensation-related workflows, including identifying opportunities for system enhancements and automation to improve operational efficiency.

• Partner with the HR Director to lead, coach and guide HR team members, fostering a high-performing team and promoting staff engagement.

• Support additional HR initiatives, projects, or duties as assigned by the HR Director.

Requirements

• Degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration or a related discipline.

• Minimum 8 years of relevant experience in Compensation & Benefits or HR rewards management.

• Experience in healthcare, public sector, or large complex organisations will be advantageous.

• Knowledge of change management methodologies will be an added advantage.

• Strong interpersonal, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

• Responsible for fetching fellow workers to and from job sites in the company's van.

• Responsible for fetching the deceased’s body back from the place of death, hospital, home, etc., to the embalming facility at our funeral home.

• Responsible for fetching the deceased’s body and casket back to the place of wake to be held.

• Responsible for sending the deceased’s body in a casket to the crematorium for cremation.

• To assist in preparing the deceased's body for burial and cremation, such as shower, cleanse and disinfect the body, removing any diapers, etc., as and when required, if the embalmer isn't present to do so.
• Fill out paperwork, tag correctly the deceased name, details, and personal items on the deceased wrist.

• Write down any bruising, discoloration, or cuts that are manifested on the deceased body.

• Place the deceased body into a casket upon request by the bereaved family.

• Explain funeral rituals and funeral package items to the bereaved family when required.

• Ensure cleanliness of our funeral home premises and embalming facility.

• Any other job requirements as required by the Funeral Director.
