Key Responsibilities:

The Laboratory of Applied Human Genetics at the National Cancer Centre Singapore is a multidisciplinary laboratory with specific focus on peritoneal and sarcoma malignancies. The direction of our laboratory is to solve real-world clinical problems via sound scientific translation. Since the conception of our laboratory seven years ago, we have established three scientific pillars — Therapeutics, Companion Diagnostics, and the CAPTIVATE (Target Generation) pipeline. We are currently working towards a first-in-human therapeutic developed in-house. To support increasing publication, international collaboration, and external engagement activities, we are looking for a dynamic, meticulous, and responsible Research Technologist / Research Officer to work closely with researchers and clinicians in supporting the visual and graphical communication needs of the laboratory. This role focuses on the development of high-quality visual materials for publications, presentations, and virtual engagements, and does not rely on scientific or laboratory expertise.

Responsibilities:

1. Laboratory Research

a) Develop graphical illustrations, figures, schematics, and visual summaries for scientific publications, presentations, and reports.

b) Work closely with researchers and clinicians to translate scientific concepts into clear, accurate, and publication-ready visual materials.

c) Support preparation of visual materials for conferences, international collaborations, funding-related engagements, and virtual meetings.

d) Ensure visual outputs meet journal, conference, and institutional formatting and quality standards.

2. Venture Development Support

a) Support preparation of visually compelling pitch materials, decks, and graphical content for venture development and funding-related engagements.

Job Description

We are seeking a talented Visiting Research Fellow to join the National Centre for Engineering Biology, Singapore (NCEB), at the National University of Singapore. NCEB aims to advance engineering biology by developing microbial cells that enable biomanufacturing.

The Visiting Research Fellow (RF) will work closely with the Principal Investigator and research team to develop robust microbial cell platforms for biomanufacturing. The RF will design and implement strain engineering strategies, optimise metabolic pathways and cultivation conditions, and generate high-quality experimental data.

Key Responsibilities: 
1. Design, build, and characterise engineered microbial strains for production of target molecules (e.g., enzymes, chemicals, or biomaterials).
2. Develop and optimise genetic constructs and genome engineering workflows (e.g., CRISPR, recombineering, plasmid design, promoter/RBS tuning).
3. Perform metabolic pathway design and optimisation using rational design and/or high-throughput approaches; analyse data to identify bottlenecks and improvement opportunities.
4. Develop and apply analytical assays (e.g., HPLC/GC, LC-MS, plate-based assays) to quantify key metabolites.

This position involves working on a project related to the coordination of large teams of autonomous robots (e.g., UAVs) in mixed cooperative-competitive environments. The objective of this position includes contributing to model development, solution, and implementation of such collaborative controllers on actual platforms, first in simulation and then on hardware. This position focuses primarily on experimental biology, including molecular, genetic, and cell biology approaches, with opportunities to integrate computational and multi-omics analyses where relevant. The ideal candidate is a motivated and independent researcher with strong expertise in plant biology and a keen interest in interdisciplinary research.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and execute research to identify and characterize plant resistance genes using effectoromics approaches

• Perform genetic, molecular, and plant pathology assays in plant–microbe interaction systems

• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to validate candidate genes and underlying mechanisms

Job Requirements

• PhD in Plant Biology, Molecular Biology, Cell Biology, Biochemistry, or a related field

• At least 5 years of relevant postdoctoral or research experience with strong hands-on expertise

• Solid background in plant immunity, plant–microbe interactions, molecular genetics, or related areas

• Strong experimental skills in molecular biology, genetics, and/or cell biology

• Good written and verbal communication skills, with a track record of scientific publications preferred

• Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet project timelines

• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and collaborative mindset

We are looking for a research engineer to support our ongoing initiatives in AI, embodied AI (EAI), robotics, and humanoid systems, with a strong focus on translating research into deployable industrial solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Support development and testing of AI/EAI algorithms on robotic and humanoid platforms.
• Work with senior researchers and engineers to translate research outputs into practical solutions.
• Support integration and evaluation of algorithms on humanoid or robotic systems.
• Collaborate across teams (engineering, product, platforms) to accelerate prototype-to-deployment cycles.
• Contribute to documentation, prototypes, and demonstration setups.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in AI, Robotics, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related fields.
• At least 2 years of experience
• Basic experience in AI/robotics; interest or exposure to embodied intelligence or humanoids preferred.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, C++, or Matlab highly desirable.
• Hands-on experience operating or programming humanoid robots is an added advantage.
• Strong problem‑solving skills and willingness to learn in a fast-paced R&D environment
