Position Summary

Responsible for the selection, qualification, application, failure analysis and documentation management of components, materials and chemicals together with their supplier evaluation.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Classify, characterize, and manage company-used electronic components, parts, materials, and chemicals as part of an integrated material library.
• Develop component and material selection, qualification, and application guidelines; standardize test methods; and design test plates for common screening and qualification activities.
• Provide technical support on material and component related topics, including datasheet interpretation, alternate part recommendations, application guidance, failure analysis, storage, and handling requirements.
• Support cost reduction initiatives and alternative component sourcing, and address engineering queries (EQ) from suppliers to ensure quality, performance and compliance requirements are met.

This is an individual contribution role as a Plating Process Control Engineer in manufacturing engineering operations responsible for monitoring and controlling plating processes to ensure quality and yield targets while implementing process improvements and optimization initiatives. The role encompasses managing plating bath chemistry and refresh schedules, troubleshooting process deviations, conducting statistical analysis to support process changes, and ensuring compliance with contamination control procedures. The engineer is also expected to leverage data analytics and machine learning techniques to establish linkages between Key Process Input Variables (KPIVs) and Key Process Output Variables (KPOVs), enabling predictive process control and data-driven decision making.
