Overview
We are looking for an IT Systems Support Executive to support AKC’s internal IT systems, network/server troubleshooting, user account administration, hardware/software setup, and internal digital tools.
This role is suitable for candidates who are interested in IT support, systems administration, network infrastructure, cloud services, automation, and internal technology operations. You will gain practical experience supporting end-user computing systems, resolving technical issues, monitoring system performance, updating documentation, supporting backups, maintaining cybersecurity hygiene, and improving internal digital workflows.
By the end of this work-study programme, you will have hands-on experience supporting IT systems, assisting users, maintaining network and server services, troubleshooting technical issues, and understanding how IT operations support business continuity.
Roles and Responsibilities
·        Support deployment, servicing, and troubleshooting of end-user computing systems
·        Assist with hardware and software setup for staff workstations and internal users
·        Manage user accounts, access rights, and basic IT service requests
·        Support network infrastructure setup, monitoring, and troubleshooting
·        Assist in managing network services and resolving connectivity issues
·        Support server infrastructure setup, maintenance, and troubleshooting
·        Assist in system backups, recovery checks, and basic cybersecurity hygiene practices
·        Update IT documentation, asset records, troubleshooting guides and system logs
Requirements
·        Nitec or Higher Nitec in AI Applications, Business Information Systems, Cyber & Network Security, IT Systems &Networks, Operational & Information Technology, Security System Integration or related fields
·        Strong interest in IT systems, networks, servers, troubleshooting, and digital tools
·        Basic understanding of computer hardware, software, networking, and operating systems
·        Comfortable supporting user accounts, system issues, and internal IT requests
·        Organised and detail-oriented when handling documentation, records, and system updates
·        Willing to learn about server support, cloud services, automation, backups, and cybersecurity practices
·        Good communication skills for supporting internal users and coordinating with teams
