JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Responsible for the profit & loss of the restaurant and implement appropriate cost control measures

- Manage the restaurant’s budget and forecasts to meet or exceed management expectations

- Maximize profitability of the restaurant by increasing turnover (revenues and covers) as a first priority and controlling costs as a second priority

- Oversee the daily operations of the restaurant

- Maintain and improve the overall performance of the restaurant on a regular basis including cost analysis and monitoring of processes

- Supervise food and operational safety to ensure a comfortable environment for the customers

- Ensure customers’ needs and expectations are met by providing an efficient and professional service as well as resolving potential service failure with tact and diplomacy

- Drive operational efficiencies of the restaurant by providing operational leadership in support of the organization’s service culture and maximize customer satisfaction

- Control labour through effective manpower scheduling and monitor leave of staff

- Actively involved in hiring process by identifying and selecting candidates for junior positions

- Actively involved in staff counselling and propose to management on course of disciplinary action, including but not limited to termination of employment

- Manage, supervise and groom a team of supervisors and service staff to ensure maximum utilization of manpower allocated

- Handle all restaurant administrative duties

- Any other jobs or duties assigned by the Area Manager from time to time

Job Description

Ensures operational excellence in driving company’s business growth locally and globally in accordance to company expansion plan with overseas extensive experience required, especially in China for our new partnership in Singapore.

STRATEGIC PLANNING

• Assists in implementing strategies for operational management and development so as to meet organisational plans and goals within budgets and timelines
• Work closely with the Group CEO to develop and accomplish goals and strategic plans
• Set KPIs & strategize on expansion and operational improvement plans
• Assist in continuous evolution of current brand or develop of new dining concept to keep our business relevant to the market
• Provides timely, accurate and complete reports on the operating condition of the company
• Identify and evaluate strategic business for company’s growth and expansion via JV / M&A / partnership

OPERATIONS MANAGEMENT

• Motivate and lead a high performance management team to achieve sales, profitability and business objectives set by the company
• Provide day-to-day leadership and management to a service organisation that mirrors the adopted mission and core values of the company
• Groom and build a team of motivated F&B professionals for the company’s aggressive expansion plan
• Oversee and ensure smooth running of all aspects of restaurant operations
• Define processes and monitoring systems to ensure food and services are adhered to a high quality standard
• Responsible for the measurement and effectiveness of all processes internally and externally

Job requirements

• Minimum of 3 years spent working in China (preferably in a recognised Peking duck establishment)
• Mandarin language skills or cultural fluency is a strong advantage to liaise with our chinese-speaking stakeholders
• Prior experience / involvement in restaurant openings or menu development in China

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

1. Manages group room enquiries (10 or more rooms / people) and related functions, dealing from receipt of request to contracting and payment.

2. Liaise with in-house departments for a quick and smooth execution and conversion of group business. Maintains ownership of group blocks, including pickup numbers, reservation methods, billing, and proper treatment of VIP guests.

3. Manages site inspections, organizing visits, room allocation, inspection of rooms and coordinates all departments to execute a perfect showcase of the hotel, providing accurate information on visitors

4. Speaks with others using clear and professional language; prepares and reviews written documents accurately and completely; answers telephones using appropriate etiquette.

5. Develops and maintains positive working relationships with others; listens and responds appropriately to the concerns of other employees.

6. To meet and exceed individual assigned sales goal and shared responsibility for team members for achievement of total department sales budget.

7. To conduct 5 sales calls daily and 3 sales activities ie Entertainment & Site Inspection per week.

8. To identify and develop new potential accounts (to prospect at least 2 new accounts per week).

9. Develop sales plans to generate business from identified markets/accounts.

10. Determine corporate account needs and initiate sales activities of each assigned market/account to enable future bookings.

11. Continuously communicate the benefits and ongoing promotions of the hotel to the customer.

12. Management and growth of corporate accounts by tracking individual transient, group and catering production goals.

13. Negotiate transient rates for assigned accounts.

14. Prospect new business through phone solicitation, physical sales calls, site inspections, trade shows, sales blitz, e-mail, research via newspapers & online resources.

15. Gather market intelligence: new product ideas, competition activities, new customer trends and performance.

16. Be actively involved in ensuring prompt follow-up on incoming phone calls, site inspections, proposal / inquiries. Accuracy in booking, commitments to customer on all sales/operational documents and adhering to the standards set by the department in execution and filing of all said documents.

17. Be a team player motivating peers and subordinates in support of department goals in sales and operations. To manage and develop Interdepartmental relations while not compromising customer satisfaction, revenue, profitability or associate morale of department / Hotel. To initiate team building activities.

18. To adhere to personal behavioral norms of integrity such as grooming, ownership, contactability, accountability, responsibility, visibility and punctuality.

19. Perform any other duties assigned by owner according to changing business, economic, customer needs or restructure within Sales & Marketing Department.

20. Any other duties/tasks as requested by management.

Main Duties & Responsibilities:

• Report directly to Branch Manager
• To achieve personal sales target and assist in achieving monthly sales target set out for the branch
• To assist the Branch Manager in the overall operation of the branch eg: staff MC, Punctuality, Daily Sales target, current promotions and updates etc.
• To assist the Branch Manager to run the outlet efficiently and effectively
• To provide professional skincare advice and consultation for customers, managing customers’ needs and ensure customer satisfaction
• To discuss and plan for therapists on the recommended treatments for customers
• To motivate staff in building teamwork and create a good working environment
• To create teamwork among colleagues & good communication
• To ensure all treatment rooms & consultation rooms are in good and conductive condition
• To assist in making cold-calls to customer
• Perform any other ad-hoc duties and other matters as assigned by the Company

Requirements:

• Min. 5 years' working experience in the beauty wellness industry with proven sales record
• Independent, motivated, optimistic and possess initiative
• Highly motivated, sales driven and service oriented
• Good interpersonal skills and communication qualities
• Team player with ability to cooperate with colleagues and have strong leadership capabilities
• Willing to work retail hours (including weekends and public holidays)
