Job Description

• The Project Engineer shall possess at least five (5) years of relevant working experience in construction of mechanical/electrical work for projects of similar scale, complexity and nature of works;
• The Project Engineer shall possess a Degree in Mechanical and/or Electrical Engineering or recognised Degree in the relevant field subject to the acceptance of the OIC.
• The Project Engineer shall be able to work independently, a strong team player and to handle fast-paced projects;
• The Project Engineer shall have good interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills for collaboration with stakeholders across all levels and have good presentation skills; and
• The Project Engineer shall have good working knowledge of MS Office, and competent in the preparation of Powerpoint presentations.

• Assist Principal Project Manager (PRPM)/Senior Project Manager (SPM)/Project Manager (PM) in day-to-day management of the contract

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Manage Supervision Team including planning roster shift duties based on Contractor’s work schedules and oversee leave arrangements.
• Provide supervision services for all C&S and M&E works to ensure that contractors comply with contract/authorities'/agencies' requirements.
• Work with the QP(D) / QP(S) to resolve all design and technical issues arising from the construction of Temporary Works and Permanent Works.
• Review and comment on Contractors’ proposals, method statements and designs.
• Lead the REs and RTOs to check all drawings (including shop drawings, construction drawings) and specifications for discrepancies and to report to the QP(S), Contractors or the OIC.

Requirements (C&S):

• Accredited with the Joint Accreditation Committee of the Institution of Engineers Singapore and the Association of Consulting Engineers Singapore.
• Minimum 10 years of experience, of which at least 8 years in major construction works in building works, deep excavation, drainage, pipe jacking, ground improvement, flexible/rigid aircraft pavement, supervising & installation of monitoring instruments and collating of monitoring data.
• Possess a C&S Engineering Degree recognized by the Professional Engineers Board of Singapore
