Job description

Google isn't just a software company. The Hardware Operations team is responsible for monitoring the state-of-the-art physical infrastructure behind Google's powerful search technology. As an Operations Technician, you'll install, configure, test, troubleshoot and maintain hardware (like servers and its components) and server software (like Google's Linux cluster). You'll also take on the configuration of more complex components such as networks, routers, hubs, bridges, switches and networking protocols. You'll participate in or lead small project teams on larger installations and develop project contingency plans. The Role

As a Senior Business Analyst, you will take the lead in conducting complex business analysis and iteration management to ensure successful initiative outcomes. Your responsibilities include crafting detailed documentation of intricate requirements, facilitating high-level communication with stakeholders, and identifying key opportunities for process optimization that align with broader business objectives.

Collaborating closely with cross-functional teams, such as engineers and product owners, you will lead iterative development and refinement processes, enhancing overall project delivery. You will manage risk, support the seamless implementation of solutions, and drive continuous improvement initiatives, ultimately delivering significant business value and contributing to strategic business success.

Join the Marketplace Services (MPS) team as we continue our evolution from a service provider into a strategic platform enabler. Our purpose is to provide trustworthy data and shared services across APAC Candidate, Hirer and AI teams so we can deliver long-term customer value. 

Within MPS, the Profile, Apply and Jobs Services (PAJS) team provide shared capabilities that underpin many of SEEK’s core marketplace experiences: how candidates discover roles, create and manage profiles, and apply for jobs, and how hirers create, manage and optimise job ads. These services sit at the heart of SEEK’s Employment Marketplace and are consumed at scale across the group. 

Key responsibilities

• Define scope, objectives, deliverables; validate requirements and capture feedback.
• Lead discovery and documentation: user stories, use cases, process maps (as-is/to-be), acceptance criteria.
• Prioritise and trace requirements to business value; support solution design and validation.
• Plan and run iteration ceremonies: planning, backlog refinement, reviews, retrospectives.
• Manage risks and change; coordinate testing, develop test cases, verify quality.
• Facilitate workshops, align stakeholders, and maintain clear communication.
• Drive continuous improvement; share best practices; mentor juniors.
• Engage vendors as needed; support SLA compliance and onboarding.

Key Responsibilities:

Requirements Gathering and Analysis:

• Conduct stakeholder interviews and workshops to gather business requirements.
• Analyze and document current business processes and workflows.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement and automation using ServiceNow.

Solution Design:

• Translate business requirements into functional specifications for ServiceNow implementation.
• Design and document proposed ServiceNow solutions, including process flows, data models, and integrations.
• Collaborate with technical teams to ensure feasibility of proposed solutions.

Implementation Support:

• Assist in configuring and customizing ServiceNow modules to meet business needs.
• Develop and maintain ServiceNow reports, dashboards, and KPIs.
• Participate in testing activities, including user acceptance testing (UAT).

Continuous Improvement:

• Monitor ServiceNow usage and performance metrics.
• Identify and recommend opportunities for ongoing platform optimization.
• Stay updated on ServiceNow releases and new features, assessing their potential value to the organization.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
• 2+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, preferably in IT Service Management.
• Proven experience with ServiceNow platform, including at least one full implementation cycle.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skill.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities.
• Proficiency in creating process flows, use cases, and other business analysis artifacts.

Preferred:

• ServiceNow certifications (e.g., Certified System Administrator, Certified Implementation Specialist).
• Experience with multiple ServiceNow modules (ITSM, ITOM, ITBM, etc.).
• Strong understanding of ITIL framework and best practices.
• Knowledge of scripting languages (e.g., JavaScript) and database concepts.
• Agile/Scrum methodology experience.
• Project management skills.

What you'll do:

As an Equity Settlements Analyst based in Singapore, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth execution of equity security settlements across multiple APAC markets. Your daily responsibilities will involve overseeing complex cross-border transactions, managing exceptions, performing trade pre-matching activities, and maintaining accurate inventory records. You will also be responsible for following up on failed trades, conducting reconciliations of both stock and cash accounts, and liaising closely with internal colleagues as well as external partners such as clients and custodians.

• Oversee day-to-day support for the APAC equity settlement team by managing settlement activities across various business streams such as Securities Borrowing and Lending, Proprietary Trading, and Agency services.
• Perform cross-border settlements efficiently in Emerging Asia markets as well as New Zealand and Australia while ensuring compliance with local regulations and market practices.
• Manage exception queues diligently to ensure all valid trades are released promptly to custodians for timely settlement.
• Take responsibility for inventory management by monitoring stock positions and ensuring accurate record-keeping at all times.
• Conduct thorough pre-matching of trades prior to value date to minimise settlement risk and ensure smooth transaction processing.
• Follow up proactively on failed trades by investigating root causes and resolving outstanding settlement items in a timely manner.
• Liaise effectively with internal teams, external clients, and local custodians to facilitate seamless communication throughout the settlement process.
• Perform regular reconciliations of stock and cash accounts to identify discrepancies early and maintain data integrity.
• Investigate breaking items methodically by collaborating with relevant stakeholders until full resolution is achieved.
• Contribute actively to process improvements by participating in initiatives aimed at enhancing tools, technology, and ways of working.

What you bring:

To excel as an Equity Settlements Analyst, you will bring proven experience from previous roles involving securities operations or equity settlements within reputable financial institutions. Your familiarity with APAC market practices—especially those relating to cross-border transactions—will be invaluable as you navigate complex settlement scenarios. In addition to technical proficiency with trade matching systems or reconciliation tools, your success will depend on your ability to collaborate effectively within diverse teams while maintaining clear lines of communication with both internal stakeholders and external partners.

• Demonstrated experience in equity settlements or securities operations within financial services or banking environments is highly desirable for this position.
• A solid understanding of cross-border settlement processes in APAC markets including Emerging Asia, New Zealand, or Australia is essential for success in this role.
• Proficiency in managing exception queues with meticulous attention to detail ensures that all valid trades are processed accurately and efficiently.
• Strong skills in inventory management allow you to monitor stock positions effectively while maintaining comprehensive records at all times.
• Experience conducting trade pre-matching prior to value date helps reduce settlement risk and supports seamless transaction flows.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities enable you to investigate failed trades thoroughly and resolve outstanding settlement issues promptly.
