What You Will Be Working On
1.Infrastructure Architecture & Highly Portable Systems
● Cloud Infrastructure: Design, harden, and operate enterprise Kubernetes (EKS)
clusters on GCC+.
● Portable Architecture: Own the infrastructure design with a strict emphasis on
portability. Configuration management, state, and workloads must be architected to allow
easy porting across different Kubernetes environments without platform lock-in.
● Platform Deployment: Deploy, optimize, and manage our core enterprise open-source
IRM platform using Helm charts, ensuring 24/7 high availability, multi-zone resilience,
and self-healing capabilities for the Singpass pilot.
2.Backend & Custom Tooling (Strict Golang Ecosystem)
● Systems Programming: Lead the design and development of all internal backend
services, custom SRE automation, DevOps pipelines, and system administration tooling.
● Strict Ecosystem Constraint: All backend code, APIs, and infrastructure tooling must
be built exclusively in Golang. We maintain a strict zero-tolerance policy for Node.js
(npm/pnpm) within our backend or infrastructure engineering ecosystem.
3.Technical Leadership & Agile Execution
● Team Leadership: Formally mentor and lead a dedicated squad of 5 engineers.
Establish engineering excellence through rigorous code reviews, automated testing
standards, and robust CI/CD practices.
● Agile Governance: Actively drive and participate in core agile ceremonies, including
sprint planning, backlog grooming, and team retrospectives to foster a culture of
continuous improvement.
● Strategic Alignment: Partner closely with the Product Manager and the Singpass
Engineering Manager to scope technical roadmaps and translate mission requirements
into scalable architecture.
4.Strict Engineering Governance
● Documentation as Code: Enforce absolute discipline regarding architectural decisions.
You will be responsible for authoring and reviewing RFCs (Requests for Comments)
and maintaining a rigorous repository of ADRs (Architecture Decision Records) to
ensure all technical choices are transparent, debated, and well-documented.

What We Are Looking For
Technical Mastery
● Expert-level knowledge of Kubernetes (EKS), Helm, Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC), and
highly secure cloud infrastructure environments.
● Proven track record of designing highly portable, platform-agnostic Kubernetes
manifests and configurations.
● Dual-Stack Development Skills:
○ Expert proficiency in Golang for high-integrity backend services, custom

* Partner with software engineers and other functions to understand objectives for

development delivery efficiency and system resiliency, helping them articulate how specific

technical capabilities and best practices will achieve key business outcomes.

* Conduct comprehensive assessments of Agency's existing technical landscapes, workflows,

and processes to identify inefficiencies, pain points, and gaps that hinder their goals.

* Collaborate with Agency to identify the most relevant practices (e.g., CI/CD, SRE) for using Core

Engineering Products in achieving their goals, considering unique needs and industry best

practices.

* Develop transition roadmaps that outline a clear path from the current state to the desired

future state, including the adoption of recommended tools and processes.

* Explain complex concepts clearly to various Agency stakeholders, providing actionable

recommendations for improving workflows and addressing their challenges, and providing

supporting diagrams as needed.

* Support Agency with proof of concept (POC) initiatives to validate solutions, offering hands-on

assistance during early implementation phases to enable smooth transitions to full-scale

rollouts.

* Collaborate closely with fellow Software Engineers to exchange insights, share tools and

scripts, and foster a collaborative environment that supports continuous improvement and knowledge sharing.

What we are looking for:

* 6+ years in an individual contributor software engineering role.

* Experience with NodeJs with TypeScript.

* Experience with one or more of Cloud Service Providers such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.

* Experience building cron jobs and scripts to run batchjobs.

* Experience with streaming data.

* Strong track record of successful large-scale partner solution implementations, preferably in complex enterprise environments

Round-the-clock monitoring and maintenance of the System (hardware and software) to ensure system uptime in accordance to SLA commitments

Respond to all incident / service calls and be first responder onsite to troubleshoot and resolve incidents including basic repairs or parts replacements

Create / update and track ticket in ticketing tool to closure observing SLA commitments

Escalate, when necessary, in accordance to escalation matrix

Perform regular preventive and corrective maintenance, troubleshooting system hardware and all computer-based systems.

Coordinate and work with third-party suppliers or other contractors to identify the causes of issues e.g. hardware, software, network problems and etc. that may affect the proper functioning of the System.

Liaise and work closely with customers to address service concerns and to solve technical problems.

Work with technical team to resolve more advanced issues when necessary

Perform Install / Move / Add / Change (IMAC) activities as tasked

Ensure all material is properly documented and handed over during shift changes

Perform any ad-hoc duties as assigned

Build sustainable relationships and engage customers by taking the extra mile

Job Requirements

Higher NITEC in Electrical, Electronics, IT or equivalent

Relevant experience in IT system support and hardware maintenance

Experience in electrical/mechanical drawing, service/repair manuals and or diagrams will be added advantage

Basic knowledge in Networking and Database management will be added advantage

Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Self-starter, self-motivated and critical thinker who embraces challenges

Ability to work responsibly, independently and in a team

Able to interact with all levels of people and work under stress

Rotating 12 hours shift or as assigned.

Shift pattern: 3 Days work shift followed by 2 days’ rest, 2 Days work shift followed by 3 days’ rest

2 Months Day shift, followed by 2 months night shift

Ability to travel to other sites during shift may be required.
