The Role

HDR is looking for an Electrical Engineer to join our Singapore Building Engineering Services (BES) team. This position will be working on projects across a range of markets, primarily the Mission Critical sector.

In the role of Electrical Engineer, we’ll count on you to:

• Design, manage and supervise projects, establish client brief, technical requirements, scope of works, cost plans and agree deliverables, i.e. report, specifications and drawings scope for all projects with your Group Leader.

• Agree level of service, and project design duties with your Group Leader, for each project, understand relationship with fee.

• Assist Group Leader with monitoring engineering / CAD resource requirement for each project within your control.

• Carry out engineering concept design to detailed design, involve in tender and contract process, review contractor submission, ensuring projects are undertaken in accordance with design briefs.

• Liaise with the contractor / PM team to produce coordinated designs that are technically compliant, to a consistent quality and standard. Provide positive contribution to design/project meetings. Maintain regular ‘in house’ design reviews and checks.

• Undertake technical reviews of the project (and MEP team input provided to other projects) at appropriate stages to ensure that the project approach and deliverables.

• Monitor and control design progress, design variations.

• Monitor contract staff or third-party appointments

• Maintain excellent client and design team relationships to achieve high levels of satisfaction and repeat business.

• When acting as design team leader, co-ordinate with other project disciplines.

• Assist Group Leader with identifying and implementing your personal training/CPD requirements. Help develop working practices in the Company.

• Implement and manage filing systems and procedures on all projects.

• Implement Company Health and Safety. Ensure all designs respond to the local regulations.

• Assist Professional Engineer in liaison, preparation and follow up of Authority Submission.

• Work closely with Clients / Architects / Structural Engineers / Quantity Surveyors, etc.

• Assist Project Manager in upkeeping the project ISO quality documentation and records.

Qualifications & Experience

• Degree in Electrical Engineering from recognized education institutions

• Minimum 3-5 years of hands-on electrical design experience in Data Center / Mix Development Building/Infrastructure projects

• Familiar with local code and authority submission procedure.

Responsibilities:

Palomar Singapore Innovation Center seeks an Applications Engineer to join the team that runs our Applications and Assembly Services operation. Expertise in Palomar equipment, with an emphasis on die attach processes, including programming and knowledge of advanced packaging materials is required. Additionally, candidate must be willing to develop expertise on wire bond and vacuum reflow processes. Being part of the small Palomar Singapore Applications team requires that each person where “multiple hats” in our Application lab.

NB: The Palomar laboratory operates during regular business hours but at times there will be projects that may require overtime.

o Lead die attach process development, material selection and programming on Palomar Die Bonders.

The Mechanical Engineer shall be responsible to perform engineering analytics, provide engineering solutions and perform defect investigations to support equipment refurbishment & maintenance projects. The candidate shall be required to independently conduct defect troubleshooting, failure analysis, engineering analysis and develop engineering solutions to the problems identified. The candidate shall also collaborate with other internal and external stakeholders on engineering and maintenance efforts and ensure high equipment reliability and availability.

• Lead in the identification and consolidation of engineering standards for the respective mechanical/electrical and electronics/hydraulic and structural systems/thermal systems.
• Develop work instructions, test parameters, test jigs and test benches to enhance equipment repair and overhaul capabilities.

• Diploma or Degree in Mechanical / Electrical & Electronic Engineering/Mechatronics Engineering or equivalent from a recognized institution.
• Preferably with at least 2 years’ working experience in automotive, aerospace or heavy equipment environment.

Skills

• Comfortable to work hands-on in a maintenance workshops environment alongside other Engineers, Assistant Engineers and Technical Officers.
• Adept with diagnostics and reliability engineering methods such as FMECA, Fault Tree analysis etc.
• Possess basic understanding of hydraulic/electrical/mechanical systems for vehicular platforms.
• Able to read and understand technical/ electrical drawings.
• Equipped with Solidworks Software skills for 3D Modelling and Drafting.
• Possess knowledge in Finite Element Analysis (FEA) an advantage.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills.
• Able to present ideas, approach, and objectives clearly.
• Strong analytical and decision-making abilities.
• Able to work independently and as a team effectively adjusting oneself flexibly to different work situations.

About the Role:

• Oversee design, installation, and commissioning of electrical systems (lighting, power distribution, ELV systems) for residential, commercial, or mixed-use developments.

• Manage electrical works across project lifecycle—from tendering and contractor coordination to site supervision and handover.

• Plan and oversee preventive and corrective maintenance of building electrical systems to ensure safety, reliability, and compliance.

• Ensure all electrical installations meet regulatory standards (e.g., local codes, safety regulations) and conduct periodic inspections/audits.

• Liaise with contractors, consultants, property managers, and authorities for electrical works, upgrades, and issue resolution.

About You:

• Diploma or Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.

• 8–10 years of hands-on experience in electrical projects and maintenance, preferably within real estate, property management, or construction environments.

Responsibilities

• Provide on-site technical support during construction and commissioning activities
• Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve technical issues in coordination with engineering teams and stakeholders
• Ensure all site issues, queries, and solutions are properly documented, tracked, and closed
• Support equipment installation, plant configuration, and LV secondary systems including cabling activities
• Monitor daily site progress and coordinate closely with contractors, partners, and internal teams
• Act as the interface between site teams and engineering offices, ensuring timely communication and resolution
• Participate in technical meetings and support the Site Manager in discussions with stakeholders
• Ensure proper implementation of change management, site queries, redlines, and documentation processes
• Maintain accurate as-built documentation and ensure all teams use the latest approved drawings
• Analyze technical issues, assess impacts on schedule/cost, and propose practical solutions
• Capture lessons learned and contribute to continuous improvement across projects
• Ensure compliance with environmental, health, and safety (EHS) requirements and promote safe work practices

Requirements

• Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline
• Experience in HVDC, substations, or large-scale AC power or infrastructure projects
• Prior experience supporting construction and commissioning in a site-based role
• Strong understanding of electrical drawings (SLD, layouts, cable lists, connection diagrams, etc.)
• Knowledge of equipment installation, cabling systems, and construction sequences
• Familiar with engineering processes such as change management and site documentation workflows
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word)
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Good communication and stakeholder management skills
• Ability to work effectively in a multicultural, fast-paced site environment
• Organized, detail-oriented, and able to work both independently and as part of a team
• Strong commitment to safety, quality, and compliance standards
