We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Associate Software Engineer to join our development team. This role is ideal for early-career professionals or fresh graduates who are passionate about software development and eager to build scalable, high-quality applications while learning from experienced engineers.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in the design, development, testing, and deployment of software applications based on business and technical requirements
• Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code under guidance from senior team members

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field
• 0–2 years of relevant working experience (fresh graduates are welcome)
• Basic knowledge of at least one programming language (e.g. Java, C#, Python, JavaScript)
• Familiarity with web technologies, databases, or application frameworks is an advantage
• Understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)

Technical Skills (Preferred)

What you will do:

As a AI Quality Engineer, you will lead the end-to-end evaluation of AI applications—LLM features, RAG systems, and multi-agent workflows—to ensure they meet business outcomes, safety requirements, and platform standards. Own test design, execution, and reporting across offline, pre-prod, and in-prod stages, integrating with CI/CD and working closely with product, data, and platform teams. 

1) AI/LLM Evaluation & Test Design

• Define evaluation strategies (golden sets, adversarial suites, regressions), pass/fail gates, and SLOs for quality, safety, latency, and cost.
• Establish rubric-based human reviews (usefulness, faithfulness, safety, clarity) and calibrate annotators.
• Instrument LLM-as-judge where appropriate with calibration and spot checks.

2) RAG, Retrieval, & Grounding

• Measure retrieval precision/recall, MRR/nDCG, and answer faithfulness to sources; detect hallucination and citation errors.
• Test chunking, prompt templates, filters, and policy chains; monitor stale/poisoned content.

3) Agentic & Tool-Use Scenarios

• Validate multi-step plans, tool selection, error recovery, retries, and idempotency for functions with side effects.
• Contract-test JSON schemas and structured outputs across services.

4) Non-Functional, Performance & Cost

• Run token-aware load/soak tests (context length, temperature, batching); track p50/p95/p99, throughput, timeouts, cache hit rate, and cost per successful task.
• Recommend optimizations (prompt/policy changes, retrieval tweaks, caching).

5) Security, Privacy & Safety

• Red-team for prompt injection, data exfiltration, indirect injections via retrieved content; validate guardrails pre/post inference.
• Enforce PII controls, data-residency, and compliance checks; align with organizational security testing practices. 

6) Observability & CI/CD Integration

• Implement prompt/dataset/version lineage and trace-based evals; automate in CI (pre-merge golden tests, nightly adversarials) with canary/A-B in prod and rollback criteria.
• Produce clear, decision-ready reports with risk assessments and release recommendations. 

7) Project Delivery & Collaboration

• Analyze requirements, enhance test plans with additional cases, prepare environments (including cloud), execute tests per plan, and drive defect resolution.
• Provide regular status updates; manage test activities to schedule; support SIT/UAT and production readiness.     

8) Performance, API & Platform Testing (Carry-over)

• Execute API, performance, and load testing for microservices/web services that underpin AI features; integrate automated testing into CI/CD. 

9) Team & Standards

• Adopt and improve test standards/methodology; share practices, train teams, participate in peer reviews, and pursue self-directed learning. 

The ideal candidate should possess:

• 3+ years in software testing/QA with strong test methodology and tooling; hands-on API testing and performance testing. 
• Programming familiarity (e.g., Python/TypeScript) and experience with CI/CD and version control. 
• Cloud basics (AWS/Azure/GCP) and microservices fundamentals. 
• Degree/Diploma in CS/IT or equivalent. 

Preferred (AI/ML Focus)

• Understanding of ML concepts and MLOps; experience with model validation and monitoring in production. 
• Experience with AI-specific security testing and vulnerability assessment. 
• Familiarity with evaluation/observability tools (any of): LangSmith, Weights & Biases, RAGAS, TruLens, Promptfoo, DeepEval, Guardrails/LlamaGuard, Presidio; plus OpenTelemetry-style LLM traces.
• Practical exposure to Azure OpenAI/Bedrock/Vertex and model gateways; quota & token accounting know-how.

Tooling & Automation

• Modern automation frameworks (e.g., Playwright, Cypress, Selenium), API test tools (Postman/REST Assured), performance tools (k6/JMeter), and CI/CD integration.   
• Data evaluation pipelines for RAG (embedding validation, filtering, drift detection).

Traits

As an AI Engineer, you will design, build, and operate production-grade agentic and GenAI systems—end to end. You’ll ship services (not just notebooks): robust APIs, reusable components, and secure pipelines that connect LLMs, tools, knowledge, and enterprise systems. You’ll pair strong software engineering with modern AI practices (RAG, agent orchestration, policy chains, evals) to deliver measurable business outcomes at scale.

What you will do:

1. Agent & Application Engineering

• Design multi-agent systems (MAS) with planning, tool-use, and delegation (e.g., LangGraph/Semantic Kernel); expose them via REST/gRPC APIs (FastAPI/Express/Java/Go).
• Implement tool adapters (SQL, search, document stores, web calls, code exec) with strict type contracts and safe sandboxes.
• Build model gateway integrations (OpenAI/Azure OpenAI/Bedrock/Vertex; self-hosted vLLM/TGI) with routing, rate-limits, retries, and fallback chains.

2. Retrieval, Data & Knowledge

• Stand up RAG services: chunking, enrichment, embeddings, indexing, hybrid/vector search (pgvector/Pinecone/Weaviate; OpenSearch/Azure AI Search).
• Implement ingestion pipelines (Airflow/Prefect/Celery/Ray) for docs, tickets, chat, and ERP/CRM data; handle PII redaction and metadata governance.
• Optimize retrieval quality (chunking strategies, re-rankers, query rewriting) with offline/online evaluation and A/B tests.

3. Quality, Testing & Evaluation

• Treat prompts and graphs as code: version, diff, and test them (unit tests for prompts/tools; golden sets; regression suites).
• Build evaluation harnesses (latency, cost, accuracy, toxicity, hallucination, guardrail hit-rates); wire into CI.
• Add drift detection for conversational systems; implement safe shutdown and auto-rollback.

4. Platform & Operations

• Package services as containers; deploy to Kubernetes with Helm/Argo CD; configure autoscaling, HPA/VPA, and resource quotas.
• Implement policy chains and guardrails (OPA/Gatekeeper for policy, Presidio for PII, Trivy for image scanning).
• Instrument deep observability: tracing (OpenTelemetry), metrics (Prometheus), logs (ELK/OPENSEARCH), cost meters per request/model.

5. Security & Compliance

• Manage secrets (HashiCorp Vault/KMS), signed images, SBOMs; enforce least-privilege IAM.
• Build tenant isolation and data residency controls; implement red/blue team prompts and jailbreak defenses.

6. Integration & Enterprise Workflows

• Ship connectors and events for SAP/CRM/ITSM and Kafka topics; design idempotent, retry-safe processors.
• Automate business workflows with pro-code services first; expose low-code surfaces only where appropriate.

7. Collaboration & Leadership

• Partner with Product, Data, and Platform teams to define SLAs/SLOs and success metrics.
• Mentor engineers on “AI as software” practices; run design reviews and postmortems.

The ideal candidate should possess:

• 2 years in software engineering (prod services, not just prototypes)
• Strong in one systems language (Python/TypeScript/Go/Java) and comfortable in a second.
• Hands-on with containers, Kubernetes, CI/CD (GitHub Actions/GitLab/Jenkins), IaC (Terraform), and cloud (Azure/AWS/GCP).
• Practical LLM experience: building RAG/agent apps, prompt design, tool-use, and safety patterns.
• Data skills: designing schemas, batch/stream pipelines, and search indexes; proficiency with SQL and one vector DB.
• Testing mindset: unit/integration tests, load tests, golden datasets for LLM evals.
• Security basics: secrets, policies, scanning, and least-privilege IAM.

Preferred Qualifications

• Agent orchestration (LangGraph, Semantic Kernel) and distributed compute (Ray) in production.
• Search/retrieval tuning (BM25 + vector hybrid, re-ranking, query planning).
• Observability at scale with OpenTelemetry; cost/perf optimization across model/router layers.
• Experience in regulated or high-throughput domains (e.g., telco, finance, healthcare); multi-tenant and data-residency patterns.
• Domain integrations (SAP/CRM/ITSM), event-driven architectures (Kafka/Debezium), and policy enforcement (OPA/Gatekeeper).
• Familiarity with TM Forum APIs / BSS-OSS patterns is a plus (if in telco context).
