Job Description

The Centre for Quantum Technologies (CQT), National University of Singapore is looking for researchers and engineers to develop next generation quantum computers based on trapped ions. There are multiple positions available at different levels with a diverse set of expertise. This program is funded under the National Quantum Processor Initiative, a flagship program under the National Quantum Office Singapore. The aim of the program is to develop a full stack quantum processor system based on Yb-Ba ions emphasizing on the performance rather than on the qubit numbers. This program brings together the unique capabilities of the existing ion trap groups in CQT expertizing on these two-ion species to explore scalability of the system.

Qualifications

•    PhD in Urban Hydrology, Water Management, or related field
•    Experience in hydrological modelling and simulation
•    Strong statistical and data analysis skills
•    Familiarity with GIS and environmental modelling tools
•    Ability to work independently and manage research timelines

Key responsibilities

• Responsible for test and measurement businesses in the assigned territory.
• Formulate and implement market segments & territory sales plan to achieve growth targets.
• Derive and execute action plans to develop new markets and penetrate accounts.
• Establish strategic partnerships with government organizations, research institutions, universities, and key accounts.
• Coordinate with business units and marketing teams in new product launches and pursue opportunities in emerging technologies.
• Drive continuous improvement in the selling process such as planning, forecasting and productivity.
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to deliver sales objectives.

Job Requirements

• Degree in Electronic/Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• Preferably 2-3 years of technical sales/application experience in the test and measurement industries.
• Highly-motivated and success-driven.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong time management, problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Exercises strong initiatives, assumes ownership and ability to perform under significant pressure.
• Possess a valid driving license with own vehicle.
