Job Description

In recent decades, we have witnessed significant progresses in the convergence and complexity theory of the first-order optimization methods, with gradient global Lipschitz continuity (GGLC) assumption playing a central role, in many classical results. However, a large class of important problems arising in modern optimization and machine learning do not satisfy this assumption. As a result, there remains a substantial gap between the theory and practical behavior of many widely used algorithms.

This project, led by Dr. Zhang, aims to strengthen the theoretical foundation of relative smooth optimization, an emerging framework developed to go beyond the classical GGLC setting. In particular, the project will study first-order methods under relative smoothness, with a focus on nonconvex problems, more appropriate optimality measures, and new non-Euclidean Lipschitz tools that better capture the underlying problem geometry. The goal is to establish sharper convergence and complexity results, clarify several widely adopted but potentially misleading arguments in the current literature, and develop a more reliable and powerful new analysis framework for the relative smooth problem class.

Job Requirements

Interested applicants are required to possess a BSc. in 2026. He/she should have a good understanding in

1.    convergence and complexity analysis for (nonconvex) optimization algorithms  
2.    stochastic process and stochastic approximation methods

Reporting to the Head, EMBA Programme Management, the incumbent will serve as a Programme Coordinator to provide administrative and operational support for the EMBA programme. He/She will be paired with and assist existing team members to manage the upcoming cohort and contribute to the smooth execution of programme operations.

Class and participant management:

• Assist in the establishment of class committee and constitution
• Act as a Key Liaison in addressing general queries from students and ensure their programme experiences
• Support the promotion and delivery of student events
• Ensure students’ compliance to the University/School requirements which include conducting briefings to keep students updated with new policy/requirements
• Support students’ participation of major programme events, such as orientation, commencement, etc.

Segment management:

• Provide assistance in the following areas for the successful delivery of both local and overseas segments
  students’ module registration which includes any changes and/or cancellation delivery of teaching materials logistic arrangements such as collection of dietary needs, issuance of seasonal parking coupons, transportation, facility support, etc. on-site teaching support such as students’ groupings, facilitation of zoom sessions, etc. financial approval for vendor engagement academic assistance to students such as following up on submission of assignments, account testing, etc.travel assistance to instructors including hotel/flight bookings, visa applications, etc.
• Work with colleagues to materialize the experiential learning contents such as corporate visits, alumni sharing, etc. during local and overseas segments

Qualifications

• At least a bachelor’s degree from a recognized University.
• Ability to work independently, proactively in a cross-cultural environment and to multi-task efficiently.
• Strong oral and written communication skills in both English and Mandarin are required, as the role involves frequent liaison with Mandarin-speaking stakeholders. Familiarity with Chinese cultural context will be an advantage in supporting effective stakeholder engagement.
• Good presentation, interpersonal and project management skills
• Able to adopt flexible work hours, including weekends and Public Holidays
• IT Savvy. Proficient in Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Power Automate, etc.) and online meeting applications (Zoom, Microsoft Teams, etc). Comfortable of adopting AI tools. Good knowledge of mobile and social media applications (WeChat, TikTok, etc.)
• Working experience in an education industry is preferred.

We are looking for a hands-on Marketing Manager who is comfortable executing from concept to delivery at scale in B2B channels. With responsibility for marketing some of the worlds most famous food brands to the foodservice and hospitality markets, this role is the champion of our content creation, digital channel management.

You will also have responsibility for the product marketing for some of the key categories and brands. The ideal candidate enjoys doing the work personally, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and is confident working closely with chefs and internal stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

1) Social Media, Website & Content Execution

• Manage day-to-day social media channels, including planning, posting, and optimization

• Create content from scratch, including:

  • Short-form videos (basic filming, editing, captions)

  • Static posts, stories, and campaign assets

• Hands-on execution is critical — this role requires personally creating and publishing content

• TikTok experience is a strong advantage, especially trend-based and short-form video content

• Manage and update the company website, ensuring content is current, accurate, and aligned with marketing priorities

• Coordinate with chefs and internal teams to capture content, product stories, and behind-the-scenes moments

• Track and review digital performance metrics (engagement, reach, traffic) and adjust content accordingly
  

2) Product & Category Marketing

• Contribute and participates actively to assign category’s planning sessions

• Plan and implement marketing activations to support category growth and commercial objectives

• Translate product features and culinary applications into clear, compelling marketing messages

• Work closely with chefs and culinary teams. Need to have flexibility, and strong communication skills

• Manage multiple campaigns and initiatives simultaneously, ensuring timely execution

• Review and analyse campaign effectiveness, using data and insights to improve future activities

Requirements

• Proven marketing experience, preferably within the food, FMCG, or F&B industry

• Hands-on content creation experience is mandatory, including basic video production and editing

• Experience managing social media platforms and website content

• Comfortable working closely with chefs or culinary professionals

• Ability to balance creativity with execution and analysis.
