We are looking for an experienced and accomplished Technical Director to join the Singapore Disability Sports Council (SDSC) — at a pivotal moment for Singapore para sport. With ambitious Los Angeles 2028 and Brisbane 2032 Paralympic Games targets on the horizon, this role offers a rare opportunity to shape the Boccia elite programme from the ground up and deliver results on both a home stage and the world stage.

The Technical Director serves as the senior technical authority and Lead Coach Developer for Boccia. You will lead the design and oversight of a world-class high performance programme, drive the integration of evidence-based coaching and sport science, and build Singapore’s Boccia coaching capability from development level through to elite. You will also contribute to athlete pathway and talent pipeline activities, working closely with the High Performance Manager across the full performance continuum.

Boccia presents unique programme leadership demands: four BC classification categories, sports assistant management, specialist equipment, and athletes with high physical care needs. Prior experience in  Market Making / Quantitative Trading / Algorithmic Trading is necessary along with knowledge of market microstructure and regulatory regimes across APAC markets.

Responsibilities:

• Design, development and support of high-performance market making & electronic trading systems.

• Partner with business users, quant researchers and clients on product development 

• Manage and support a  global team of developers & QA specialists.

• Continuous improvements of SDLC processes including Agile delivery, automated testing, CI/CD pipelines & support processes.

• Envision, design and implement test cases for trading functions.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 12 years of relevant experience with strong technical knowledge either Java, Rust or C++.

• Demonstrable expertise in low-latency trading, zero garbage techniques and performance tuning of OS & network interactions.

• Prior experience in leading global development teams.

• Previous experience in developing automated trading platforms.

• Strong understanding of automated testing techniques.

• Solid understanding of SDLC practices including Agile methodologies and Continuous Integration processes.

• Ability to prioritize multiple tasks, set goals and meet deadlines.

• Strong communication skills with a demonstrable ability to present & grasp complex concepts in a multicultural environment.

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree/University degree or equivalent experience
