Prime Broker Middle Office supports the Prime Brokerage Business, and is part of the overall Prime Finance Business unit.

The department consists of a client-aligned operational client service and a risk & control team.

The primary role is the responsibility of managing a number of the Prime Brokerage hedge fund clients. The successful candidate will be the main point of contact for all operational queries for that client and they will interact closely with clients/administrators and internally across the Business, Middle Office and Operations.

Responsible for providing operational client support for Priority and high focus Prime Brokerage clients.

The primary role will incorporate all aspects of Equity and Fixed Income Prime Brokerage operational client service – covering trade handling, fails management and client account management queries.

This is a client focused role with large volumes and quick turnarounds with an increasing focus on providing innovative value add services to increase both the client experience and potential business revenue.

Job Description Summary:

Futures & Derivatives Clearing (FDC) Markets Operations supports the firm’s client trading & clearing across a broad range of listed derivatives, futures, OTC & FX PB products. The FDC group sits within the Equities and Prime business and is part of Citigroup Markets.

The role; to lead the Asia FDC Operations Client Services team and be a part of the regional and global senior management team.  The individual is expected to interact with multiple Business units across FDC, Equities & Prime as well as various support teams such as legal, compliance, risk and of course our peers across FDC and Markets operations.

The individual will be part of the regional and global senior management team and report directly to the Head of Asia FDC Operations.
 

The individual is expected to be commercial in mindset when assessing servicing requirements and subsequent operating costs. Will be expected to review new clients to be onboarded, work with the integration and onboarding teams to clearly assess client requirements, challenge manual processes and sub-optimal solutions. Have the ability and experience to understand front-to-back trade and clearing flows, provide solutions and help drive client delivery.

The individual and team will be responsible for driving client solutions and participating in local, regional & global initiatives. Be required to measure productivity and service via proactive monitoring and metrics, as well as running regular platinum client broker reviews. In this role, you’re expected to:

The Customer Service Intermediate Analyst is an intermediate-level position responsible for providing clients with resolutions and support in coordination with the Customer Service team. The overall objective of this role is to address external customer issues and provide ongoing customer service support.

• Manage a portfolio of high-profile clients, ensuring queries are acknowledged, investigated and resolved timely and professionally and in line with departmental standards

• Provide coaching and support to team and serve a point of contact for escalations

• Develop and maintain client portfolio through regular calls and face to face interaction, as needed

• Inform clients about problems (system failures, market issues) and provide regular resolution updates

• Advise on and advocate the implementation of process improvement and reengineering to improve client experience

• Maintain knowledge of new market and regulatory requirements affecting client portfolio/base

• Escalate customer feedback, processing delays and errors appropriately

• Conduct necessary analyses to resolve problems, liaising with internal teams on escalation, as necessary

• Complete tasks such as reviews, audit preparation, capacity planning, reporting and maintain control environment

• Participate in and advise on inquiry-volume reduction, client experience initiatives and cross-departmental initiatives

• Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.

As a successful candidate, you’d ideally have the following skills and exposure:

• 2-5 years of customer experience

• Relevant experience (business/financial environment) preferred

• Demonstrated project management and organizational skills to prioritize multiple tasks

• Proven self-reliance and accountability and ability to manage risk

• Consistently demonstrate clear and concise written and verbal communication with ability to influence stakeholders

• Proven investigative and analytical skills

• Consistently deliver high-quality customer service with focus on building client relationships and achieving quality results

• Bachelor’s Degree/University degree or equivalent experience in Business, Accounting or Finance
