In this role, the Business Development Manager will be responsible for bridging strategic partnerships, and business development, with a focus on financial institutions and offshore AIA business units (BU).

It involves leading cross-functional teams, building strong relationships with bank partners, cross-jurisdiction internal stakeholders, and ensuring effective sales and marketing strategies

Key Responsibilities:

1. Business Development & Partnerships

• Develop, formulate, and deliver sales and distribution strategies focused on Financial Institutions and offshore AIA BU segments.

2. Strategic Initiatives & Project Management

• Oversee the planning, execution, and completion of strategic projects (including offshore AIA BU collaboration) that align with AIA IW’s growth objectives.
• Define project scope, objectives and deliverables in collaboration with cross-functional teams. (e.g. AIA BU workstreams, steerco and governance forums)
• Manage project resources, budgets, risk mitigation, and performance tracking
• Monitor and evaluate project outcomes, recommending adjustments to ensure objectives are met.
• Coordinate requirements and priorities across internal, external and offshore functions for holistic project implementation.

3. Sales & Marketing Oversight

• Design and develop marketing strategies, sales training & product rollouts tailored to partner banks and offshore AIA BU HNW clients.
• Ensure proper alignment between AIA IW’s product offerings, partner banks’ and offshore AIA BUs’ goals.
• Track and analyse feedback from marketing campaigns, recommending improvements for future initiatives.

4. Governance & Compliance

• Ensure adherence to compliance, regulatory, and offshore conduct guidelines in business development and sales advisory activities.
• Manage risk mitigation processes and ensure team compliance with CPD training and licensing requirements.
  

Key Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management, Banking & Finance, or other related field
• Minimum 8 to 10 years in sales, partnerships, or business development in insurance or banking industry
• Demonstrated success in acquiring and managing regional strategic partnerships

Job Description

AV Intelligence (https://www.av-intelligence.com) is an engineering-led audio-visual and lighting solutions provider serving premium residential and commercial projects in Singapore and Malaysia.

We are seeking a Business Development Manager to drive client engagement, develop new business opportunities, and support the delivery of high-performance AV solutions. This role requires both strong commercial capability and the ability to understand and translate technical requirements into practical, well-engineered solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Identify and develop new business opportunities across residential and commercial AV projects

• Lead client engagement from initial consultation through proposal and project confirmation

• Understand client requirements and translate them into AV system concepts and solution proposals

• Prepare quotations, proposals, and system recommendations in collaboration with the engineering team

• Coordinate with internal teams (engineering, procurement, and installation) to ensure smooth project execution

• Monitor project progress and ensure alignment between client expectations and delivered solutions

• Drive revenue growth and achieve assigned sales targets and performance KPIs

• Maintain strong relationships with consultants, architects, interior designers, and industry partners

• Support regional projects in Malaysia through coordination with the team where required

Scope of Solutions
Projects typically involve:

• Home cinema and private theatre systems

• High-fidelity (HiFi) and dedicated listening rooms

• Multi-room and distributed audio systems

• Commercial sound systems (restaurants, bars, clubs, corporate environments)

• Acoustic consulting and treatment integration

• AV system design, infrastructure planning, and consultancy

• Control systems (e.g. Savant, RTI, Lutron)

• Video display systems including large-format LED and projection

• Lighting integration and control (where applicable)

• Network and AV-over-IP coordination (where required)

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of experience in business development, sales, or project management (preferably in AV, construction, or related technical industries)

• Strong communication and client management skills

• Ability to understand technical concepts and translate them into practical solutions

• Experience coordinating with technical teams or managing projects is an advantage

• Familiarity with AV systems or control platforms (e.g. Savant, RTI, Lutron) is an advantage

• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint for proposal preparation and presentations

• Working knowledge of AutoCAD for basic drawings, layouts, or coordination is an advantage

• Self-driven, detail-oriented, and able to work independently

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field

• Exposure to cross-border logistics solutions and multi-country coordination
• Ability to develop and present integrated logistics solutions

RESPONSIBILITIES

Partnership & Engagement Management

• Support the development and management of strategic partnerships and external engagements that advance organisational priorities

• Lead engagements across partners, ecosystem stakeholders, and internal teams, ensuring clarity of objectives, alignment, and timely follow-through

• Track and support follow-up on key meetings, engagements, and decisions, ensuring clear documentation and information flow across teams

Project Management 

• Provide project management support to Head of Corporate Development to move projects from conceptualization to completion, including stakeholder coordination, planning, execution, and monitoring of deliverables

•  Work with CEO's Personal Assistant to organize, prioritize and manage CEO's evolving schedule and responsibilities using judgement and discretion against organization-wide goals and deadlines 

Strategy Support 

• Keep abreast of NVPC's vision, strategy, and short- and long-term commitments to ensure engagements and partnerships are aligned with organisational intent.

Support strategic planning, sense-making, and coordination across initiatives involving the CEO's Office, Corporate Development, and other teams.

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Non-profit Management or a relevant discipline, with at least 5 years of relevant professional experience in supporting partnership development and stakeholder engagement
