Job Summary

Manage safety and security operations to ensure guest satisfaction and compliance with hotel policies. Lead staff scheduling, incident reporting, emergency preparedness, and enforce safety standards to maintain a secure environment for guests and employees.

Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly staffing schedules and monitor staff attendance to optimize workforce planning and operational efficiency
• Maintain detailed hotel logbooks documenting incidents and complaints, and coordinate follow-up actions with relevant departments
• Resolve guest queries and complaints promptly to build positive relationships and enhance guest experience
• Anticipate and proactively address guest safety needs during Singapore events to ensure a secure environment
• Monitor and control guest areas to maintain high safety and security standards
• Enforce ACCOR and hotel security policies, procedures, and regulations to ensure uniformity and guest safety
• Develop and prepare annual capital and operating budgets for the Safety & Security Department
• Identify, report, and ensure immediate rectification of potential and actual hazards to prevent risks
• Demonstrate full knowledge of hotel Emergency Procedures, Policies, and Standard Operating Procedures
• Conduct safety and emergency training sessions for all employees to enhance preparedness
• Organize and enforce regular emergency drills to safeguard guests and staff
• Apply hotel regulations fairly and comply with laws to protect persons and property within the premises
• Promote safe work practices among staff to minimize risk of injury or harm
• Implement safe manual handling techniques and adhere to Accor Health, Safety, and Environment policies to reduce environmental impact and prevent pollution
• Perform additional duties as assigned by the Safety & Security Manager

Required competencies and certifications

• Certificates in National Skills Recognition System, CPR, First Aid Management, and Basic Fire Fighting
• Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in a similar safety and security role

Preferred competencies and qualifications

• Fire Safety Manager Certificate
• Strong service orientation with attention to detail
• Ability to maintain effective operational controls to maximize efficiency and guest satisfaction
• Effective management, leadership, organizational, and communication skills
• Ability to remain calm and respond quickly in emergency situations

Work Environment

Recruitment

• Lead recruitment, selection and onboarding processes.
• Support manpower planning and liaise with other departments on hiring needs

HR Operations & Employee Record

• Manage employee onboarding and offboarding processes, ensuring accurate documentation and compliance.
• Maintain up-to-date personnel files, HR databases, and employee information systems.
• Manage employee relations.

Compensation & Benefits Administration

• Oversee employee benefits, medical claims, and related HR entitlements.
• Track staff attendance, leave applications, and prepare payroll-related data for processing.
• Manage performance appraisal systems

Learning and Development

• Overseeing Learning & Development programs, including needs assessment, training plans, and budget management.
• Organise team building/bonding activities.

Asset & Policy Management

• • Maintain company assets, accurate assets records and documentation.
• Review and update HR and administrative policies; ensure staff are informed of policy changes.

Strategic Planning

• Support on strategic planning and decisions that impact all management levels
• Support company’s strategic planning for entire employee lifecycle, from recruitment to performance management
• Ensure the workforce is skilled, motivated, and performing well in order to meet the company’s goals

General Administration

• • Oversee day-to-day administrative operations including document management, meeting coordination, facilities management, and vendor liaison.
• Support general office maintenance and ensure a well-organized and efficient workplace environment.
• And other ad-hoc duties as assigned by the company

Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
• Familiarity with Singapore employment laws, MOM regulations, and HR best practices.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook); experience with HRIS systems is an advantage.
