As a FinCrime Operations Investigator, you will play a critical role in safeguarding Wise and its customers from financial crime. You will be responsible for investigating and analyzing customer accounts, transactions and activities on our platform to detect and prevent money laundering, fraud, and other illicit activities. You will leverage your expertise to identify suspicious patterns, conduct thorough investigations, and ensure compliance with AML/CTF regulations and internal policies and procedures, all while adhering to Wise’s risk appetite. Job Responsibilities

• Conduct in-depth investigations of potentially suspicious activity, utilizing both internal and external data sources.

• Analyze complex financial transactions and customer behavior to identify patterns indicative of money laundering, fraud, or other financial crimes.

• Evaluate and assess alerts generated by transaction monitoring systems and other detection tools.

• Gather and analyze supporting documentation, including KYC information, transaction records, and other relevant data.

• Review and interpret data to identify patterns and potential risks associated with financial crime. Support the team in making informed decisions based on data insights. 

• Prepare detailed and comprehensive investigation reports, documenting findings and recommendations.

• Act as a point of escalation for complex FinCrime cases from other operations teams, providing guidance and expertise.

• Mentor and train other team members on FinCrime investigation techniques and best practices.

• Collaborate with product and engineering teams to improve fraud detection rules, processes, and system enhancements.

• Stay up-to-date on emerging FinCrime trends, typologies, and regulatory changes.

• Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders, including compliance, legal, and customer support teams.

• Liaise with financial institutions and law enforcement agencies as needed.

• Participate in ad-hoc projects and initiatives related to FinCrime prevention and detection.

• Maintain accurate and complete records of all investigations and related activities.

• Provide input on process improvements and backlog exercises.

• Complete all company-assigned mandatory, refresher or ad hoc trainings on time and with diligence.

Wise is looking for our first Senior Marketing Copywriter to join our newly set up full-stack Brand, Creative & Strategy team in Singapore. Wise has over 16 million customers, now it’s your turn to convert its next 16 million.

In this role, you’ll be the pencil on the ground in Asia, bringing a deep understanding of the market, its customers and how to reach, compel and convince them to choose Wise above all others. With your words, you’ll make them stop mid-coffee-sip to read more about Wise when they scoot to work and bridge the gap from awareness all the way to sign up.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

Reporting to the Copy Lead in London, you’ll own copy in the APAC market including Japan, Singapore, Malaysia, Philippines, and India.

Write compelling, thumb-stopping copy for marketing campaigns that educate and inform customers and potential customers about Wise’s benefits and mission. 

Your responsibilities will include:

• Working with strategy and design to craft copy as part of a dynamic creative engine that supplies our paid channels with new assets (static, motion, carousel, videos) at pace.

• Having your ear to the ground when it comes to advertising and how brands show up on platforms like LINE, WeChat, TikTok, Reddit, YouTube, and ATL channels — and you’ll have a strong point of view on what creative works best for each channel. 

• Penning the words for ad hoc campaigns and experiments that drive customers to use Wise products more by crystallising new use cases.

• Owning and adapting the Wise Tone of Voice for these markets and channels in a way that resonates with the local audiences. 

• Brainstorming angles, concepts, articulate pain points (while offering Wise as the solution) and write compelling marketing copy to convert more prospects on all of the above.

• Confidently presenting and selling in your ideas to different departments and stakeholders.

• Supporting Brand, Creative & Strategy in their mission to being the best partner to Marketing in the efforts to fuel Wise’s mission and get Wise into more pockets and onto more screens.

Qualifications

ABOUT YOU

We’re looking for a creative, talented writer who can explain — at times — complex concepts to people in engaging, interesting ways. Does that sound like you? Do apply. Do. That’s regardless of whether you have our ‘ideal’ qualifications and experience, which include:

•Excellent proficiency in written English and preferably Japanese (A strong proficiency in Japanese (e.g., JLPT N1) is preferred, as it would enable the candidate to create, review, and adapt marketing copy specifically for the Japanese market and collaborate with local Japanese stakeholders).

•5+ years experience writing marketing copy for a medium-to-large-sized business, preferably tech, though not essential.

• A portfolio of writing samples that illustrates your wit, polish and intelligence (a Google doc would do) — leaning towards full funnel and paid marketing.

• A keen eye for what makes effective marketing and advertising — you’ll take inspiration from many different industries, and have a strong POV on what makes for great copywriting. 

• You’ve worked closely in partnership with designers of all disciplines, riffing off each other’s ideas, deepening creative concepts and striving for the best answer to a brief — together. 

• You’ve oodles of experience working with product marketers and managers before, and you’re confident in speaking their esoteric language(s). 

• You have the resilience to handle requests from multiple teams, and you know how to build a process to manage them.
• You’re a keen collaborator with an appetite to work closely with many different parts of the Wise organisation as well building strong partnerships with other creative disciplines. 

• You have buckets of experience in articulating the ‘why’ behind your decisions — you’ll need to convince, to disagree confidently, and to take and give useful feedback

The CRM team at Wise is expanding to consolidate our efforts to develop our global B2C lifecycle communications. We’re all about bringing value to our customers who deserve first-class communications so they make the most of their Wise account that helps them save money and avoid the terrible exchange rates from traditional banks.

We’re building money without borders for people and businesses, and we need your help to make our referral customer comms best-in-class. We’re problem solvers—we work with our Product, Marketing Tech, Analytics, and UX Research teams to define and execute the strategy for product and marketing customer comms across multiple channels (email, push notifications, in-app messages).

Role/Programme:

As a CRM Intern, you’ll join our CRM team for a 6-month internship starting 29 June 2026. You’ll be onboarded a small internship cohort in our Singapore office and learn the basics of being a Wiser, as well as understand how CRM works here.

During this time, you will take ownership of growing our referral community by shaping the way we run regional promotions—from brainstorming fresh competition ideas and promotions to hitting 'send' on the campaigns that drive growth.  

How You’ll Make an Impact: In this role, you will:

• Support execution: Help with the end-to-end execution of cross-channel campaigns (e.g., product changes, marketing, lifecycle, transactional comms, surveys) using email, push notifications, and in-product messages.

• Collaborate and learn: Work closely with CRM Managers, Product Specialists, Researchers, and Analysts to understand how we apply product knowledge to choose the right channels and approaches when talking to customers.

• Drive operations: Assist in the day-to-day operations of the CRM platform, including email calendar management, deliverability monitoring, and monthly reporting.

• Go global: Help build templates and implement the localisation process for Wise’s international campaigns.
