Your new role 

As the Investment Asset Allocation Manager , you will take the lead in shaping both tactical and strategic allocation decisions across public and private markets. Key Responsibilities:

1. Month-end closing, Financial Reporting and Analysis

• Manage month-end closing and deliver accurate, timely financial reports to Business Heads and Group.
• Perform variance analysis against budget and prior year; identify risks and opportunities and recommend corrective actions.

2. Finance Operations

Requirements:

1. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance, or ACCA, with CA / CPA.

The Business Area:

The Platform Control and Support function within the Global Operating Platform plays a pivotal role in governing, assessing, enabling, and supporting change across the investment operational platform. A dedicated team, the Mandate and Broker Control team plays a critical governance, oversight and facilitation role during broker onboarding, Client/Fund mandate and Fund implementation, and ongoing change events. DBS Institutional Banking Group (“IBG”) provides corporate customers with a full range of commercial banking products and services, including cash management, current accounts, time deposits, trade finance, working capital finance, term loans, foreign exchange, and investment banking. Through our continued commitment, DBS has cultivated long-standing relationships with its customers in the region that are based on account relationship management, service differentiation, product development and rigorous credit standards. 

The FDI desk collaborates widely across the bank, both regionally within IBG but also with Private Banking (“PB”) and Consumer Banking (“CB”), in respect of account acquisitions leveraging One-Bank solutions. The team also supports business development and origination of account acquisition opportunities and manages customer relationships directly where needed.

Responsibilities

• Originate and drive business development related to FDIs to achieve new-to-bank and new-to-geography targets.
• Work closely with regional coverage teams in IBG and PB/CBG to identify and acquire new-to-bank corporate customers to expand Bank’s market share of the FDI flows in our target markets.
• Formulate, complete, and execute account plans for clients onboarded by FDI Desk to increase share of wallet, by generating solutions in collaboration with product groups including capital markets (Debt Capital Markets, Equity Capital Markets and M&A), transaction banking services (Cash and Trade) and treasury.
• Where needed, handle customer relationship and banking needs directly in a timely manner and with due attention to business risks.

Requirements

• Degree holder in Finance, Economics or related discipline.
• At least 5 years of experience in either institutional or private banking.
• Prior experience in exposure and coverage in the specific markets will be advantageous.
• Strong credit and financial analytical skills with the ability to independently prepare credit applications for approvals.
• Team player with strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Results-oriented and strong business connections in identifying and developing business opportunities. Track record and experience in this aspect will be an advantage.

Key Responsibilities

• Liaise with internal support teams and partners to resolve administrative and operational issues, ensuring smooth day-to-day functioning.
• Handle client enquiries, support servicing needs, and foster strong relationships through proactive communication and assistance.
• Assist in executing investment transactions, monitoring clients’ investment positions, and managing related documentation.
• Manage account-related processes including new account openings, maintenance, credit applications, and periodic reviews (KYC, CRQ, etc.).
• Identify and escalate suspicious client or staff activities (e.g., account irregularities) to appropriate departments as per compliance guidelines.
• Ensure full adherence to regulatory requirements by completing mandatory training and applying the bank’s KYC/AML/CDD frameworks effectively.

Qualifications

• Degree in any discipline with at least 5 years of experience working in a similar role/ capacity in the banking industry
• CACS papers 1 & 2 certified
• CMFAS certifications
