Job Description

We are seeking an IT Operations Engineer with strong expertise in infrastructure operations, cloud platforms, cyber security, and hybrid environments. This role will take end to end ownership of IT infrastructure and data centre services for the Singapore site, being a part of both on premise and cloud platforms, while working closely with global teams in Switzerland.Job Description:

• Own and manage IT infrastructure and data centre operations, including compute, storage, networking, backup, on perm, and cloud environments.
• Monitor, operate, and maintain systems under frameworks (incident, problem, change management).
• Perform system monitoring, patching, health checks, performance tuning, and capacity planning.
• Handle and resolve cyber security incidents, coordinating with internal security and global teams.
• L2 and L3 operation across Singapore and Switzerland.
• Drive infrastructure modernisation, standardisation, documentation, and knowledge transfer.
• Implement automation, monitoring, and process improvements to enhance reliability and reduce manual effort.
• Be a part of infrastructure and security projects, including upgrades, migrations, testing, and transition to operations.
• Manage and oversee Managed Service Providers (MSPs), including performance, security compliance, SLAs, budgets, and contracts.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
• Strong expertise in IT infrastructure operations in enterprise or regulated environments.
• Hands‑on expertise with:Windows Server (AD, DNS, DHCP, GPO, file/print, clustering)Linux (RHEL or equivalent) administration and scriptingMicrosoft Azure (VMs, VNets, NSGs, Storage, Azure AD/Entra ID, Azure Backup, Azure Monitor)Hybrid cloud environments, VPN/ExpressRoute, identity integration, Microsoft 365
• DevOps tools and practices, CI/CD pipelines, Git, and Infrastructure as Code.
• Familiarity with containers and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes, AKS) is a plus.
• Strong focus on automation, monitoring, observability, and alerting.
• MAS or financial regulatory environments is an advantage.
• Excellent problem‑solving, stakeholder management, and communication skills.

The Senior Design Engineer is responsible for structural analysis and design compliance are met for the project.

A summary of the responsibilities of this position are, and not limited to, as follows:

• Conduct structure analysis
• Provide technical engineering information to ensure compliance with all engineering standards, codes, specifications and design instructions.
• Develop architectural/engineering drawings and ensure specifications/regulations are followed.
• Liaise with architects, engineers and other departments to ensure that the design intentions are met.
• Prepare bills of quantities and cost estimation whenever required
• Ability to identify potential and discrepancies that affect the design and recommend solutions to relevant team/department.
• Adherence to safety practices in the work place.

Value Add of Position

• Design and calculation report for reinforced concrete, steel and geotechnical works using British Standards and Eurocode.

Technical Competencies

• Technical expertise and knowledge in Foundation, Structural and Civil works.

Qualifications and Education Requirements

• Minimum Degree in Civil Engineering from accredited Universities
• Prior 6 years of experience in design and construction (structural). Preferably have done data centre, marine offshore, and mixed-development projects.
• Have completed at least 1 project (data centre, commercial bldg., industrial)
• Well versed in structure analysis and design software such as ORION, SAP2000, SAFE, PROKON, PLAXIS or other similar software
• Well versed in Autocad and BIM software is preferred

You will play a lead role in managing the Contractors in the construction of new MRT Lines and / or enhancement to Existing Lines. You will be responsible for the safety, quality, progress and environment impact of the Contractors’ works. You will also assist in planning and managing the risks and cashflows of the various contracts as well as the issuance of instructions and assessment of variations/payments/claims. During the course of work, you are expected to liaise with various parties, such as project teams, contractors, designers, architects, stakeholders to ensure the projects are well coordinated. You will also liaise with the appointed Railway Operator to review and address their feedback appropriately. You will be responsible for managing all aspects of the construction of the track including the planning and schedule of locomotives at depot and mainline.

Requirements:

• Knowledge in Civil Engineering, familiarity with the relevant local codes and transit construction

• Preferably minimum 4 years’ experience in large-scale infrastructure projects

• A good appreciation of the constraints and interface requirements of civil and trackwork

• Strong project management and leadership skills with proven track records

• Good communication (both oral and written) as well as presentation skills

• Team player who is analytical, resourceful, and result-oriented

• Experience in the construction of Civil Defence shelters and underground MRT stations will be an advantage

• Candidate with strong relevant years of experience will be considered for senior positions
